Manager for next weekend as can’t do any worse than the current management

Remind me...who was the last manager we got rid of because the new one couldn't do any worse than him?

i think it would be disrespectful not letting maloney take the side that he got there in the first place....much like it was disrespectful to dump jack ross before a Final

Jack Ross had earned the right for that, Maloney can do one quite frankly.

The Captain....

I'd be happy with that..just delaying the inevitable keeping Maloney.

I'd feel far more confident if SDG was in charge.

Steve Kean until the end of the season for me. Let him get back to basics and stop this fannying about at the back crap.

We've got a front 3 with a rough combined weight of me. We'll struggle to compete with a very physical and experienced hearts defence.

I'd rather not poison the next man's start with Maloney's mess.

So I get this right, we sack an inexperienced manager, to bring in an inexperienced manager.....

For one game yes. Anybody would do, as long as they ditch the Maloneyball formation / philosophy and he can motivate the players for a Derby whilst having a plan/formation to play to the strengths of the existing players. Or do we stubbornly persist with Maloneyball which has been working oh so well. What do we have to lose?

As a first team coach already why isn't grays miraculous motivational skills working now?

There was me thinking Maloney decided on playing philosophy /formation and picked the team.... Motivational skills are all that is needed and DG doesn't have any apparently.

Yip, lets batter it 60 yards up the park to our big target man Melkerson 🙄

he is sitting behind Maloney and Caldwell in the pecking order and his influence is pretty limited. He can be working with players on the training ground, but ultimately match day strategy and in game tactics are led from elsewhere.

Because the main person in charge has all the charisma and personality of a chamomile tea bag.

In a word, yes.

The leader of a group is the one who has to get people fired up and in the right mindset to perform.

Others can encourage and reinforce that message, but they can’t do it themselves.

Sorry but he doesn't strike me as a manager in the making, his appearance at Hampden in the final was like someone totally out of his depth.

Just catching up on this now. Some really wacky stuff on this thread. Mental doesn’t begin to describe some if it.

1 win in 13 is completely unacceptable and I can’t defend our league position.

I’m as disappointed as anyone about it.

In his defence he’s a new manager that’s come into a failing team, had a load of injuries and remember nisbet also gave us nothing so far until he was injured and his form can’t be blamed on maloney.

I’m not really sure what else he can really do but he clearly knows what he wants to do for next season.

But he won’t be sacked, it’s pointless to even think about it
