What's everyone's pre match plans for Saturday then?

Is Malone's on Morrison street any good compared to Roseburn/Murrayfield Hotel?

Malone's is extortionate. If you don't mind paying well over the odds for a pint it's alright.

Is Maloney’s what used to be Diane’s?

Really missed Diane’s when it closed, but admittedly a place I’d only ever been to for pre match on derby days (Sat & early sun KO’s!).

Does anyone know if there are barriers put up on McLeod Street before the game stopping you getting in from Gorgie Road? Or can you get to the away end from Gorgie Road?

Fine before the game. Barriers usually up for 30-40 minutes post match.

Waiting Room in Morningside for about 12 for me then getting a lift along to somewhere close to the ground.

Can't be arsed queuing to get into the Roseburn for opening, which is the only real chance of getting in, and the Murrayfield Hotel has made it pretty clear they don't really want us anymore at the last few derbies.

You get what you pay for. Great pint, cracking screens and don’t forget Sky & their live music maybe free to the customers but it doesn’t come free to the business.

Not rammed like the Roseburn but plenty Hibbies in. It’s always busy with Hibs fans after and upstairs can be a Hibs party all night. Jambos avoid it for some reason.

The Murrayfield is looking forward to having us on Sunday. They've even booked a guitarist to sing Hibs songs out on the patio so all good

You need to try getting a pint of unpasteurised Tennent's from the wellpark brewery bar. Fresh from the brewery next door and unrivalled :greengrin

We are 7 hours ahead in the Philippines. Early morning some Hibs songs. Siesta then start drinking 9am UK time. Listen to off the ball and wait nervously for team news. Hibs TV from about 9:45 pm local time, praying for sweet dreams of a Hibs win.

A well done pint of Tennant's is about as good as a lager gets. Problem is a lot of places serve it absolutely crap.

Lots of side streets past Roseburn with spaces, Murrayfield road is often quiet and no parking restrictions. Just a heads up there is roadworks at Roseburn and no right turn in to Roseburn street when heading in to town

Diane and her family are all Hibees.
So the years she had the pub,Hibs fans who knew her and her husband went quite regular.
Not just match days. Lot of Jambos would know that.
Early Sunday mornings back in the day was a lot of Hibby and Celtic bevvy merchants ;-)
Nicer ambience than the old Buffs Club.

Thomsons Bar a bit along the street is a better option in my opinion, particularly if you like something more sophisticated than Tennants, always got some good ales on, and there's some Hibs memorabilia behind the bar.

Diane's was a great place. 20p pool and cheap, decent pints. Rarely any bother either (certainly in later years, I know it had a reputation at one time).

A pub from a bygone era really. No frills, decent service, cheap beer, cheap pool, dominoes and terrible karaoke on occasion.

Regularly pay in the £6 mark in Bath for a pint.

I’m in your boat, I don’t want to wait half an hour to get served. Probably why I avoid Robbie’s unless it’s later in the evening.
