Just a quick update on the amount collected at the turnstile collection on Saturday.

Given that previous turnstile collections have ranged from £1,200 to £2,500 (depending on crowd sizes) this is an unbelievable amount.

We are also now allowed to claim gift aid on the amount collected, so the final total will be over £13,000!

I would like to personally thank all the volunteers that turned up to shake a bucket, as having double the usual amount of volunteers played a huge part in the final total.

Thanks to Capital Cars for providing us with the card readers, just over £1,100 was received through card payments.

And a huge thank you to all the supporters (including the decent sized Dundee United support) for their generous donations.

Absolutely great work. We were in hospitality and knew the money raised would have been magnificent there

Well done. I didn’t realise there were card readers so walked right past the collection (rarely carry cash these days). Not sure that was me being unobservant or missing a trick in making that clearer as an option.

I forgot to bring cash so donated via the card reader.

Well done all and great to hear about the Dundee UTD fans donating.

Not yet

Todays tasks ..

Emails with various departments about the welfare rights of the orphanage mums

Teams meeting with Stirling Council organising the move from Callander to Edinburgh next week

Speaking with various venues and organising the 2 day excursion next week that will allow us time to do a flit from Callander to Edinburgh

Visit to Callander tomorrow to make sure things are getting put in place for the move.

This has pretty much been a full time job since I jumped on a flight to Krakow on the 6th of March.

Now that I'm actually saying "6th of March" .. I honestly can't believe that so much has been done in less than a month!!

Was the charity a project over and above your full time job Stevie?

Great effort. Well done to all involved and to everyone who donated. Might be an idea to do it at Tynecastle, if it's not too late to organise.

It's so good to hear. Those kids already have a tough start, then the current war compounds things. Magnificent work you all do to help them :not worth:not worth

Great work.

Yes, a number of Utd fans gave at the collection point where I was donating.
