I would hope that the black armbands the players wore on Saturday were for Tom, but why no acknowledgement over the p.a. or minutes applause?... bit disrespectfull to a great Hibernian servant, surely worth a few words instead of "I'm modelling the Hibs suit" and "pumping the jambos" pish!

There was a minutes applause for a hibs fan who had passed away, on Saturday, which both sets of fans were joining in with. I didn’t get a name though.

Perhaps the family request nothing more than armbands? It was a bit odd but there may be other factors at play here.
Could’ve at least put his photo up on the screens

I notice the family announcement states there is a private funeral.
Perhaps they have requested Hibs respect that privacy at this time. It would seem odd that there was no other acknowledgment otherwise.

You would have thought there would have been a photo on the big screens. They did it for Walter Smith, so would presume you could for someone who actually had something to do with Hibs.
As said above though, maybe the family never wanted that.

Good to hear, but this just highlights the feeling that the present media/comms people at the club don't really "get" the club's historical past and the people who contributed so much to it, or maybe it's me getting grumpy in my old age, something not right tho!
