I actually think this team might be better if they were just left to play with hardly any tactics. One thing that needs to be looked at is 11 players back for set pieces, including throw ins. I think that’s the irony klaxon I can hear. You were talking about this being the result of sacking Ross. With no mention of the fact Ross is at least as culpable for the mess of this season as Maloney is.

I thought we played all right in the second half as well. We get in to loads of decent positions but there is such a lack of quality when we get there.

No idea why Maloney brings on Drey Wright when we’re chasing a goal, you’re essentially going down to ten men in an attacking sense when you do that. But the players in the last 10, 15 minutes needed to show a bit more urgency and drive. There is nobody there capable of grabbing us by the scruff of the neck.

I know it’s all about opinions but I’m not sure how you can possibly have watched that today and thought it was woeful.

We were the significantly better team imo.

We had 63% possession, 21 shots on goal, 4 on target whilst only giving up 6 shots on goal and 1 on target. Other than the goal they never hit the target.

We scored, had a potential penalty turned down, had 2 or 3 very decent chances saved and then missed an absolute sitter at the end. I wouldn’t say we were exceptional, but for me it was a million miles from woeful.

We had 63% possession, 21 shots on goal, 4 on target whilst only giving up 6 shots on goal and 1 on target. Other than the goal they never hit the target.

We scored, had a potential penalty turned down, had 2 or 3 very decent chances saved and then missed an absolute sitter at the end. I wouldn’t say we were exceptional, but for me it was a million miles from woeful.Spot on

I know it’s all about opinions but I’m not sure how you can possibly have watched that today and thought it was woeful.

We were the significantly better team imo.

Think you could probably say that we were woeful in the final third as opposed to just saying we’re woeful.

Thought we actually played some decent stuff at times, up to a point, but I’ve never had such a lack of belief that we’ll score a goal.
