I've been aware through both PM and the boards of some disappointment that we as a site are not running buses to the semi final. Unfortunately at this late stage demand outstrips supply for buses and we are now unable to offer this as an option.

However both myself and the rest of the admin team have been working tirelessly behind the scenes and have come up with a novel solution.

During lockdown due to reduced demand Loganair merged their Southampton to Edinburgh and Southampton to Glasgow routes into one. The flight would land in Edinburgh, offload passengers then continue to Glasgow. Whilst there was no option to buy a seat from Edinburgh to Glasgow interest was huge among plane geeks and they were bombarded with requests.

We are delighted to announce we will be able to offer Hibs fans the 1st commercial charter flights on the day of the semi. We have secured 2 37 seat aircraft, their new Embraer Travanjska Luda planes built in Croatia. This charter will be priced at £104.00 and included a bacon roll and hot drink at Edinburgh Airport, return flights to Glasgow and return transfer between Glasgow Airport and Hampden by minibus.

Departure time is 9.15am with you required at the airport no later than 1 hour before departure. Return flights leave at 4.35pm.

Please indicate interest below or PM me for details.

No joke I had a flight from Edinburgh take off found it had a problem circled in the air for about 20 minutes then landed at Glasgow to be repaired not exactly ibiza where I was going.

FFS

I was well hooked by this.

The good news is I told my other half about it this morning and she's seething about the environmental impact of something like this, so I managed to take someone else down with me.

It's her birthday today too.

I'll take 2 but only if we can be parachuted directly to our seats on approach. Otherwise, it's a pish offer

Wetherspoons at the airport. I'm going early to start queuing behind the 7 folk buying a latte each.

The part about the Loganair flights landing in Edinburgh then flying to Glasgow during lockdown was actually true. Flight took 13 minutes.

I'm sure I was once on a flight to somewhere from Edinburgh which bounced at Glasgow on the way.

The time in the air was short as you say, but the whole trip took about half an hour because of take off and landing procedures.

Don't cause any trouble as you will be thrown off the plane.

One for trivia fans, the shortest scheduled flight in the world is from Westray to Papa Westray in the Orkneys. A minute and a half to travel a mile and half, or thereabouts. Keep that for your next pub quiz.
