Missed him and the only leaflet through the door was from Domino’s

Douglas Ross out and about in Broxburn with the candidate who was voted in as a Labour candidate last time, fell in love with a Tory candidate, changed party and is standing as a Conservative this time around.

I'm quite looking forward to presenting at the polling station so I can write something abusive on my ballot paper about the 2 councillors in my ward who voted in favour of closing a community centre that is a vital resource for some of the most deprived families in the city. Neither were Tories which makes it worse. You expect it from them.

One of them in particular is a joke. The ward is supposed to be Portobello and Craigmillar. Whilst she indulges the nimbys in the most affluent areas of the former, she'd struggle to find the latter with a map.

Without being funny how can you possibly go from Labour to Tories and think you retain any credibility

Without being funny how can you possibly go from Labour to Tories and think you retain any credibilityJust shout something about "saving us from the abhorrent and plainly error strewn SNP" as much as possible.

It worked with the "blatantly anti-Semitic, Russian sympathiser" Jeremy Corbyn.

People don't seem to pay much attention beyond that.

Had one leaflet through the door and it's been Labour who have been canvassing early.

Likely to go with my usual preferences nationally but if anyone mentions the potholes I'll give them a listen.

I’m not sure the candidates will get to see the messages in the local elections as it is all done electronically. They would in a manual count when the doubtful papers are presented to the candidates for adjudication (assuming things haven’t changed)

Same ward as me, PB. I wonder if she is the same one I'm thinking of! The councillors in the area are a joke. The community centre, the whole escapade of closing Brunstane Road, they are a shambles.
