I'm in England just now and I'm aware about the block on watching 3pm games in England. My question is, on the Aberdeen TV message it's saying it detects I'm in England but I may continue as long as my card isn't registered to an English address (which it's not).

Before I pay £13.99 does anyone know if I'll be able to watch the game with a Scottish debit card?

That's my fear and don't want to chance it as I doubt I'd get my money back.

It's an absolutely ridiculous rule to be honest.

Have you got access to a VPN? If so could transfer to a Scottish IP address.

Hopefully be ok regardless.

Me neither, just links me to a VPN site and asks me if I want to Ariana from Helensburghs videos.

Needless to say that didn’t work either.

I (unfortunately) managed to purchase the game on Red TV and view it despite being down in England at the moment.

My understanding was that no-one in England could watch live football at 3pm on a Saturday but what actually appears to be the case is that even if you're in England you can purchase a PPV game as long as the card you're paying with is not registered to an address in England.

So basically the blackout only applies to English residents which is good to know for future reference.

Away commentary wasn't much better. No denying that Cliff is as Hibs as anyone, but really not a fan of him on commentary.

Switched this stream on just as hibs gave away second penalty monotone rob McLean shouting for joy as it was given and the co-commentator saying that porteous is a liability, I switched off even before the penalty was taken.

Rob McLean possibly the worst commentator ever in both radio and tv
