1) Lewis Stevenson (two cup winners medals and blood that runs green. I love Lewis)
2) Sylvester Jasper (it's brilliant to see someone who just wants to play exciting attacking football and has the skills to make it happen)
3) Elias Melkersen (Uber cool, has shown he can finish and his movement is superb, he's also more articulate in his 2nd language than most of the team in their first language !)

That Norwegian lad,could be the player that’s the missing link in our team. Although my wife says that he’s far to good looking for a footballer, I hate him.
That English guy, that nearly everyone, says was crap at first, ( not me, I know talent when I see it 😜), but is now arguably our best player.
That Bulgarian fella, the first player to get me of my seat since Ivan. Although he doesn’t look Bulgarian, Bulgarians are hard, he looks like he is soft, but could dribble around 4 players whilst smoking a splif.

First reserve, that Scottish lad that apparently hacks down the opposition players at every opportunity, dives if anyone looks at him, pees on graves, and eats puppy tails for breakfast.

Newell and Porteous are the easy ones as getting them right allows others to play. It is then a contest between Jasper and Melkersen and since the aim of the game is to score goals then Melkersen fills my final place.

The 'voting' appears directionally correct. Lewis is my favourite current player having replaced Martin Boyle :boo hoo:. All the rest, have or are impressing me, but it's difficult to make a strong case for one over another, when it comes to favourite players.

If I'm being pushed, and ignoring Melks as that's just one game, it has to be Lewis, Cadden and Porto, with Jasper accelerating fast.

Lewis - what he has done over a sustained period is amazing. A bona fide Hibernian legend
Porto - developing into a very very good footballer. Loves the Hibs, hates the huns and has really got right under their skin. What's not to like. Enjoy him while he is still here
Melkerson - just in the door but already a real favourite. The place went nuts on Sunday when he scored and I think some of that at least was down to it being him that scored. Infectious enthusiasm and looks a eeal player

Lewis - I have watched him since he was a laddie breaking into the Hibs 1st team and he just never stops, he's an unassuming, self deprecating and a great footballer, what's not to like?
Porto - I love Porto, he is a great CB but the thing I love most is the amount of space in huns tiny brains that he takes up, rent free.
Newell - Joe is super cool, I love his close control and ability to get out of tight spots easily, he has the ability to make the players he plays against look very ordinary.

Honourable mention for Melkersen, he looks good so far. Before the game on Sunday I watched the players bang the ball into the practice nets, everyone was sticking their laces through the ball by Melkersen each time side footed every ball into the net bar his last attempt where Kev managed to get his hand to it. Turned to Tam next to me and said, 'If he gets a one on one with their keeper today, he will score'. I was right :greengrin

Stevenson is probably my favourite Hibs player in the 50 years I have been going. Very hard among the rest of the team. I'd probably go for Joe Newell and Cadden just because they work so hard and I feel are very important to the team. Not much to choose between the players though as most are pretty easy to like, mostly work hard or at least are the types of players who offer something other than graft and seem to respect the club.

I love Lewis Stevenson in a way that was previously reserved for Pat Stanton. So he's my number 1.

Ryan Porteous has to be in the mix for me. He has his flaws but I think he's a fine player.

It's too early to include the new lads in my 'favourites' list but I have to say I'm really excited about Melkersen and Jasper.

Actually thinking through the players we have at the moment, there are lots of good players who would make a fantastic team if we could get them all fit. Anyway, third spot in my current top three goes to Joe Newell.
