Anyone got the Hampden Appearances for last 10 years? We must be near the top.

Tremendous effort to get there so often but quite sad that there hasn’t been more silverware in that period.

18 Trips to Hampden in 10 years. Plus 1 other semi at Tynecastle.

Today's win means we have got to the Hampden semi final stages of 6 major cup competitions in a row.:cb

Phenomenal consistency and some great days for our supporters, although it's so frustrating we haven't got more to show for it in terms of trophies in the cabinet.

No of appearances at Hampden in recent years is quite ridiculous. When you're in the middle of this there's a tendency to take it all or granted, but for those of us who've followed Hibs over the decades, can assure you these are special times. If only we could have seen a few more through to the end.

Congratulations to all at the club for yet another good cup campaign.

:agree: By way of comparison - there were only 3 Hampden visits in the entire 1980's and 2 in the 1990's ( although there were a few semis at Tynecastle, and Dens and some 85/86 at Easter Road/Ibrox as well as League cup final at Parkhead in 92).

We've only won 6 out of our last 17 visits to Hampden though - we really should have at least 3 or 4 trophies from the last 10 years.

We could and maybe should have had 4 trophies in the last 2 years:

SC semi v Hearts - Nisbet's penalty goes in we win that, then face Neil Lennon's Celtic side in the middle of a meltdown - massive chance missed.

St Johnstone twice - Our league position confirmed we were a far better team than them but JR couldn't figure out how to beat them. 2 massive chances missed.

LC Final vs Celtic - If our defence hadn't switched off 10 seconds after we took the lead, then who knows? Massive chance missed.

On the face of it the record isn’t that bad, issue comes when you look at some of the defeats - ross county, Falkirk, st Johnstone to name a few. Plus our semi record isn’t bad at all but then fall flat in the finals.

The comparison to years gone by is really good - growing up I could probably count the number of times I’d been at Hamden to see us on one hand.

We’re there that often boss that people don’t even see it as an achievement of any sort.

So over the last decade there's only been two seasons we've not made Hampden?

Very impressive record for a non-OF team. Need to start turning that record into silverware though. But the more trips and familiarity we get the better the chance IMHO.

Yeh, we could have done with more of a return from our Hampden visits over the years. Still, we'll have played in 30 semi finals/finals in the last 23 seasons, come April, with 9 of them being finals. Hopefully we can make it 10 and another trophy. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
