I'm struggling to think of a red so early in a game. Anyone? What was he doing?

Should have been two reds in the first 10 minutes.

Yes, very easily. Perhaps the fact a Well player had already walked influenced the ref there.

I can remember Davie Bowman getting sent off at Tannadice back in the 90’s very early against us, whilst some people were still taking their seats. Think todays was maybe quicker mind you!

Yep 2 minutes and 7 minutes both red cards.

Collum bottled the second one.

A Google suggests that was the sixth minute.

Although it was in a development game v Celtic, but Sean Mackie got sent off in 3 minutes in 2018

Disgraceful decision not to send the hearts **** off yesterday. As if the rules change because they have already broken them. 2nd red card not given in 2 games.

For all the pundits suggesting that they let it go being so early you then end up with teams like the Mothers and Hearts who get their mark in - Ian Black forearm smash anyone? Completely nonsensical a red card should be a red card - no point in a retrospective card if advantage has been gained.

Don’t know about red, but the quickest yellow I ever saw was Roy Barry at Ibrox. They kicked off, and Barry ran from the edge of the centre circle and booted the first Rangers player he encountered up in the air. He then walked to the ref, hands clasped respectfully behind his back, and supplied his name before the ref could get his book out of his pocket.

Planned as soon as they knew they were playing us.
BBC has it at 1508 Craig Thompson has a quiet word with Black after clatters into the back of Griffiths.
Cheating ******* saw it and done nothing.

I think I remember Colin Nish getting sent off about 30 seconds after he came on as a sub at Pittodrie, does that count?

Ignore me, just looked it up and it was 8 minutes after big Colin came on he went off again

Not a red card but someone told me Craig Levine got a early red badge up in Dundee a few years ago.
