Looks like everything we have been missing. Delighted he got his goals today. Funny wee guy in the interview as well.

An attacking striker is what we've needed, his movement is fantastic.

He will be very good for us, even if it takes a bit more time he is still pretty young, great awareness and movement he will end up a big big player for us.

First time I’ve seen one of our strikers bust a gut to get to the front post in god knows how long.

And he scores from it. Doidge and Nisbet just don’t do it enough. Love how sharp he is!

Reminds me so much of Flo when he was on loan. Chudfed for him

The difference in movement from Melkerson to Nisbet was incredible. This lad can literally change the dynamic from a style of play that doesn’t suit our strikers to a perfect fit.

I really want Maloney to be a success and I really want his preferred style of play to work because if it does then I think it’ll be outstanding to watch.

It simply won’t work with Nisbet or Doidge though. Melkersen could well be a huge part of the puzzle and help us really kick on.

Since the last round of the cup?

Melkersen was great today. Kinda asking myself why he's not been involved at all before today when we cant score.

Maloney has already said what he is looking for and young Melkersen fits the bill, he may be our first 8 figures (over 10mill) player in a couple of years time.

He’s going to be a player, no doubt about it.

Really like the look of him but needs to be little careful with the number of yellows he's picked up already!

Massive credit to Jasper as well. He's raw but 2 quality assists today.

The ball for his second assist is an absolute worldy. If that's De Bruyne etc making that pass it'll be talked about for days.

That's a striker, clinical. Superb movement, he's got a bit character about him too. Boys going to be a hero.

Very happy with his first start. First half he got the service and took his goals and could of had a third.

Little quiet second half but that was because we played deeper but still worked hard.

Looking forward to his next game.

Can’t stop watching his second goal. Everything from the pass, control and finish superb. He seems the type of character that the fans will love and showed great passion after the second which was brilliant to see.

Think we need to calm a little, though. Nisbet and Doidge have both had games like today. We need a striker who can do it consistently over a long season. Hopefully Elias does.

Their is just something special about this boy, brilliant that he is on such a long deal too, will only get better and is going to be a joy to watch for hibs, took his goals fantastically and will be a real threat for us, him and Jasper linked up well and looks like Maloney has an eye for a player.

Preferred no-nonsense deadpan expression on the second. “This is what I do - get used to it.”

Like all good strikers give him the service he'll score. Jasper gave him perfect service for two goals. Need to ensure we build a team that gives him the chances.

The guys just what we’ve been missing all season. Making good runs, excellent attitude and willingness to get into the right positions and on the end of good balls into the box. 2-footed as well so no pissing about trying to get onto his ‘better’ foot.

Never liked a new signing as much as this boy. Think the fact we had to wait for so long to watch him just built the anticipation even more and he’s delivered today.

Seems a proper character and his connection with the fans is great. some player too which helps

Mad as it sounds because he didn’t really do anything, you could tell within two minutes of him coming off the bench against Dundee that he has something about him. Think it was just his movement and the fact that his first thought is to go towards goal.

He was fantastic in that first half, a wee bit of everything and quite unlucky not to get his hat trick.

it’s very easy to get carried away with a player after a performance like that, but on the face of it, he looks like a fantastic find and one we can look forward to watching develop over the next couple of years, hopefully.
