So both Joshes in the squad. Will some of the doubters take of the blinkers now?

If he's good enough for Scotland he@s good enough for Hibs

Really don't want to start another bashing session, but the bit in bold is nonsense, plenty in the Scotland U21's that aren't good enough for Hibs.

Anyway, congratulations Josh!

Great news, and surely can only be good for their development.

On a different note, what is the deal with Hickey not being included? Fairly cryptic comments from Scot Gemmill about Hickey having his own thoughts and having to respect that - does he just not want to travel to play for Scotland or does he not like the current set up? Seems very odd to me....

Think he's pulled out of the last three squads? At least once he said he was too tired.

He's maybe not that fussed for playing for the 'unders' when it involves a fair bit of travel. Obviously there's an argument that he should be playing at every level possible if he has designs to appear for the senior side in future - having said that, I can sort of understand if that is the case. If I was a pro footballer, playing for Scotland would be the biggest honour possible... but playing for Scotland U21s, while a proud moment, wouldn't mean all that much in comparison, other than another milestone reached. And he maybe figures if he's good enough to represent the national side, he will be in the squad regardless of his age group appearances.

Of course - this is all based on a pure surmise of Hickey's reasons, on my part.

Well done to both and well deserved.

Doig has been brilliant since Maloney came in imo irrespective of what position he’s played.

Campbell has been good since he came in and ended up getting loads of abuse after a poor game of 2 but I think he’s bounced back really well. Even on Saturday I though the was good with the exception of one or two bad touches.

That’s what I’d suspect.

He’ll probably see himself as good enough to be involved with the first team and he’d have a pretty strong case to back that up. If I was him I can see why I wouldn’t be bothered for all the extra travel and risk of injury to play under 21s when he’s absolutely flying at such a high club level.

His time at Hearts has obviously rubbed of on him, delusions of grandeur!

He obviously thinks he’s too good for the u21s. Considering the players he’s up against in the first team he’s not doing himself any favours. Probably wouldn’t be far off being a regular in the first team squads but given his attitude I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Wonder if he's afraid of flying like Denis Bergkamp was/is. Or could be a vax issue, who knows. Just seems odd to turn down your country...

Thinks he’s too good for the under 21, stinking attitude
