Absolutely horrific. The police turning their backs and ignoring it was disgusting as well.

Watched about 20 seconds of it and had to turn it off.

Saw it this morning. Horrific.

What sort of people repeatedly kick an unconscious guy in the head?

What’s the context behind all of this? Horrific, looks far above just football fans fighting. Looks lawless.

Possibly more to do with the horrific violence of the street gang culture than football hooliganism.

2 dead according to the Sun, 17 according to the Daily Mail, BBC not reporting deaths but 22 ‘injured’.
Just waiting on the Express telling us how many UK victims there are..

The videos are of people actually committing murder. Its absolutely horrendous. Hooligans? Nah, they're cowards and murderers.

The footage and stills that I've seen certainly seem to indicate there are several dead fans. Its horrible.

I hear Liz Truss is on her way over as we speak to sort it out.

Not seen any footage and from what you’re saying I won’t go looking for it either. Sounds hellish.

That should be the end of Mexico hosting The World Cup in 2026. Horrific scenes.

Jesus Christ, just saw some of the videos on Twitter. Was expecting to see some radges having a fight not witness a series of actual murders caught on camera.

30 dead now. Utterly disgusting. FIFA will be getting slightly worried about 2026 now I should expect.

While standing in Argentina talking about Brazil. Hope the reports that say no deaths are correct but that is a horrendous thing to watch

26 injured, 3 critically. Early death numbers seem to have been exaggerated.

Some of the videos I have seen are absolutely revolting.

They are like animals. Surely that can’t all just be football rivalry? Gangs or something involved?

Apparently there was a Scotland youth team there a few years ago who had to come straight home when they got knocked out the tourney they were in as their safety couldn’t be guaranteed

Did you watch the footage?

I don't think there's been any exaggeration, sadly.

Didn't want to start a new thread as in my opinion didn't deserve one but it is our history off the park so sorry for changing topic on thread.

Early reports said 18 deaths, then 30 deaths. Not the case, thankfully.

Authorities look to be covering up the number of deaths by saying there have been no deaths.

But social media is awash of families looking for loved ones who have not come back from the match. Plus some very unsettling footage, including one of the police removing what looked like a lifeless body from the stands.

I'd agree with this. Footage was horrible, I'd be very surprised if there were only a handful of deaths.

I seriously doubt the Mexican fa or the local government has the ability to somehow cover up 30 deaths. There will be funerals, death certificates, families, lawyers. And since these organisations don’t directly profit or benefit from a cover up, why would they take the risk? We’ll find out more in the coming days I suppose.

With the World Cup coming to Mexico in 2026 there certainly will be benefits to the Mexican FA and governments to play down this tragedy as much as possible.
