With Nesbit out, Doidge not playing regularly, Melkerson maybe weeks away from 1st team football and the young guns not making 1st team bench. Should we be signing an out of contract striker until the end of the season?

No. We have Doidge, Melkerson and Scott. They'll play.

The reason there are out of contract free agent strikers is that they're usually p!$#

Probably. But in the unlikely event that there was someone fit and available that would be a better option for us, then why not?

Unlikely as I say. But we’ve just lost our best striker (having not seen Melkerson yet) so it’s not a ridiculous suggestion.

Agree with this, enough options there and I don’t think the club will sign a player that would hinder any one’s progress and likely not be much better than what we have, I saw Dundee were linked with Sanogo the other day.

An area I wouldn’t mind us looking at is centre mid as we’re horribly short in there with no real back up other than Stevenson, not sure there’s any youngsters close either? They’d have to be quality though and be here for the foreseeable, not a stop gap for the above reasons.

Grim that Nesbit is out as well as Nisbet.

We can rely on Nisbit thankfully.

Looking at our current attacking threat, even Deek or Garry O could do a job for us

We could have had Riordan, Griffiths, Cummings leading the front line but nope.

A really pace forward thinking player is needed.

Jasper isn’t overly quick yet very skilful

Mueller doesn’t get much game time, don’t know if he’s burned out from MLS?

But someone to play the position Henderson currently is with pace and a willingness to run in behind to stretch teams is essential.

Henderson can then move back into centre mid and pick him out.

Game for that, he'd be perfect on the left of the front 3
