Almost confirmed the two are playing a friendly in Australia in November (Celtic have, rangers holding out due to pressure).
Can we leave them over there

Cancel their return tickets as soon as they land in Australia.

Exporting sectarianism to the wider world and offending Australians from both sides of the divide in the process, why would Scotland want to do that and Australia want to welcome it?

Let sevco know that Van Dieman's is close by and he's a brilliant Dutch striker available on a free. Erseholes might stay there looking for him.

Think so therefore any international player called up won’t be there, more of a reserve team

Hopefully our uselessPM will ‘do a Djokavic’ and ban them.
The locals have no idea what they are in for by getting the two sides in the same stadium with the fans mingling in the bars around Olympic Park before and after the match.
And the idea of ‘segregation ’ at games is, quite literally, foreign to them.
Alcohol is on sale inside the stadium too
No doubt they think it is ‘just another soccer match’
What could possibly go wrong?

Dont think many hunners of down under sevco would call themselves ex pats.
Chuck those anti-catholic billy boys into a billybong and stick their flutes where the sun dont shine.
Many of the Down under Celts may be descendants of those that landed ln Botany Bay,in chains, courtesy of Lord Trevelyan.
So they WILL be ex PATS.
Fields of Athenry will get a good airing, thats for sure.
Celtic will get a massive welcome as did Livepool FC a while back

We had a " festival of soccer" a few years ago here. Organisers in they're wisdom invited rangers and a Greek team ( can't remember who) plus 2 A league teams.
No segregation, games at night and beers on tap....police never knew what to do when the inevitable kicked off with Huns and Greeks.

History has shown that wherever the hun travel, home and abroad, violence ,destruction and mayhem follow follow.
I recall 1969 going to Newcastle with a pal to meet a Geordie pal we met at Easter Road
He suggested we keep a low profile in city centre pubs as old rangers had just visited.
Joiners and glaziers were still repairing shop fronts, windows .
Surely there is no plan for them to play each other in Australia?
Pre match barbies/boozers will be fun !

Yup, the plan is to have a 4 team round robin tournament with old firm and 2 A league teams ( probably Sydney Fc and Western Sydney wanderers) WSW are very Serb/Croat persuasion.
If they do what they did last time , 2 games back to back in the same stadium, Blackburn rovers were the third team, then you would have all 4 supporters in stadium from 2pm till 10pm

At least it makes it explicit that they are two sides of the same coin; yes I do detest The Rangers to a greater level than Celtic but they both feed off each other, they both feed off everybody else.
They have a horrible symbiotic relationship & they would both drop everybody else off a cliff if it suited them.
Really hope they take their normal odious behaviour down there & the Aussies spread it all over social media.
God, for a world without the Old Firm.

The Celtic manager seems to think Australian based Rangers and Celtic fans could fill the 83k capacity stadium twice over. I'm guessing he's right that there's a huge support for both down under?
Out of interest is the Oz branch of Hibs fans still on the go?

Seen both fans demonstrated against it tonight with banners. Shame they can’t protest against the other thousands of things wrong with them.
The only slight positive is it’s being branded by the organisers as Anges homecoming so the blue arse cheek will at least be annoyed

There seems to be a lot of talk in the press about this increasing their 'global brand' , I see it as more maintaining the support base within groups of ex pats rather than them being the next Man utd or Liverpool.

Which team will have the home and away changing rooms. Their fans better not annoy the neighbours or they might end up in Wentworth Prison. Australians are said to be mortified at the prospect of the old firm match taking place in their country.

:agree:
It's a fact that Celt's attendances*, with no version of Rangers in the league, were plummeting.
As much as they both claim to hate each other, they seem to exist almost solely for their Old Firm rivalry.
*I'm referring to actual attendance, not tickets sold. Though the latter had also started to decrease.

Not as if Australia is exactly short on gibbering pissheads and small minded racist numpties that then have to borrow that pair.
Oh and see folk that say "There is no Old Firm". Better inform then that term is officially dead.
Mainly cause Celtc and The Rangers trademarked it.:greengrin
