Deserves a thread of his own. Best player on the park today. Simply outstanding.
Beaten by another European name for the fourth time this season.

he is consistently our best player overall heard kris boyd saying today that when he concentrates on playing football ryan is excellent and he told him that after the hearts match. still only 22 so is still learning his trade and as iv said on here before the sky is the limit potentially though will almost certainly need to move to a different league to continue improving and testing himself against higher quality players. he should be looking at scott mckenna at forest who i believe ryan to be better than football wise but who has came on a bundle since his move south. i always thought he was overated at aberdeen a bit stiff and slow but to be fair to him he is carving out a good career for himself under steve cooper.there is no reason why ryan cannot follow suit and be as successful as mckenna is.

Absolutely brilliant today.
What a player he is when he’s on his game.

Porto Is still young, especially for a centre back. But he is not only becoming a better more experienced player but it’s clear that he is learning the ‘dark arts’. He has to be careful how he goes about it as refs will get wise to him if it’s too obvious (thinking about him pretending that he was struck with the ball at the indirect free kick at the end of hertz game). Refs won’t like being made to look like mugs and will carry grudges.
When he stayed down in he box at the end of the game was the smartest thing (of many) that he did today.
The likes of Puyol, Chiellini or Ramos all have/had a win at all costs mentality, have a nasty streak and can be proper bad b***ards..but they’re SMART bad b***ards. That is what Ryan is becoming and if he gets it right he has the tools to go right to the top.
We must do everything in our power to hold onto him as long as possible.
The money we got for the likes of SJM, Broony, Fletcher or Boyle might end up looking like chicken feed in comparison.
Easily our biggest asset. He will make mistakes but it’s just part of his development and the journey he is on.
Lets support him all the way.

He’s a very good centre half and has a bit of everything especially considering how young he is (which is often overlooked).
Some of his passes today left me scratching my head but I don’t know if the sun hindered his sight but overall he’s very good at playing out from the back.
My biggest criticism of his passing out though is the pass he gives some of his team mates, it gets to them but ok occlusion it’s bouncing horrible or fizzed in.
But considering the centre half we first had with him to now it’s night and day. He’s 100x better on the ball, much more composed and a lot more athletic imo.
I really hope we can get him to extend his deal with a relatively low buy out clause just so we get something for him, it would be criminal to lose him for peanuts.

Absolutely brilliant today, even when he knocked the spare ball about I had to admire his sheer notgivea****ery.

I thought he had a great game today but did give me a mini heart attack with his sliced clearance that went for a corner when some reason he went with his wrong foot.

He, is a tremendous Centre half and future Scotland captain, we will miss him as he gets run out of Scottish Fitba by the media and certain others.
