What's happening with the main stand?

It's mentioned in the Evening News that it will soon have a new look.

Hopefully they will start by stopping the leaks in the roof.

It’s gonna face away from the pitch.

Between that and the further changes to the matchday experience, it'll be interesting few years.

Yeah I saw that. Was wondering myself. Maybe the cladding on the outside will be changed.

Is it not to do with installing executive boxes, so fans can watch behind glass?
Must admit did this once for a Scotland game at Pittodrie, didn’t really enjoy it
If it increases revenue, go for it

I think it’s to do with the improvements they’re looking to make to the hospitality.

What article?

One amazing new look would be the 20000 turquoise seats replaced with bottle green ones but appreciate cost might rule that out!

They are hanging chicken wire from the roof, to stop the restless support from throwing the prawn sandwiches onto the pitch, the seagulls are a protected species after all.

Has it not got something to do with the digital advertising boards going onto the stand? I remember when they spoke about the screens they said these boards were the second part of the installation.

Maybe we're installing a stairway leading to nowhere.

Interesting move by the club, not least of all because there is already one not too far away at Fort Kinnaird.

Still, if female-orientated clothing, footwear and accessories, at value prices, attracts a relatively untapped demographic to the club then I think we can all agree it's visionary :agree:

I think it’s to do with the improvements they’re looking to make to the hospitality.

This is what I thought too with the current offices being moved elsewhere.

Electronic advertising boards between tiers would be good but not sure if this is still planned.

Would be good if they did something with those FF hospitality boxes also but would probably cost ££.

Heard we put a bid in for an unused escalator that leads to nowhere.

It needs a more "college" look and a view of the castle.

I believe they are moving the press box down to the front 3 rows of the lower. It’s what big clubs do , seemingly.

Yes. Have long thought this. No-one notices the empty tynie seats cos of the dark colour. The faded green seats at ER stand out a mile.

I've been saying for years that we should follow the lead of the likes of Fortuna Düsseldorf (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a7/LTU_arena_panorama.jpg) and have seats in all different colours.

That way it doesn't look so obvious when the stadium is less than half full

Brentford do that as well for that very reason.

Been to hospitality a couple of times this season and I was massively disappointed that the expensive option with the free booze was downstairs, whilst the cheaper hospitality had the views over the pitch.

Screams tinpot to me. Can't fill the stand so put in multicoloured seats so looks less empty? Big no from me.
