This weekend Hibs, had the youngest average age of any team in SPL

The average age of all SPL teams was shown at the end of sportscene,
I was pleasantly surprised that Hibs had the youngest I think it was the starting eleven, but it might have been the squad .

Great news. Most players peak about 25/26 and their sell on value after that decreases every year. If the club intend player trading to improve our finances then older players are no help in this regard.

While he didn’t graduate from our academy, Nisbet spent time with us as a youth which would take it up to 8 players who have been part of the Academy at some point.

Rangers - 28.5
St Mirren - 27.5
Dundee Utd - 27
Motherwell - 26.9
Ross County - 26.3
St Johnstone - 25.9
Livingston - 25.8
Celtic - 25.4
Aberdeen - 25
Hearts - 24.2
Dundee - 23.7
Hibs - 23.5
