Does anyone know of a pub which should have a decent atmosphere for fellow Hibby Josh Taylors fight on Saturday? I'm going out yo watch it but would be great to get somewhere with folk actually wanting Josh to win rather than it just being on in the background

Slightly off topic but I find it crazy that Taylor fight is on normal sky sports, whilst those 2 washed up fighters were box office last night.
Taylor in his prime, undisputed champion, unified the division. But Brook v Khan is apparently box office. Nuts!

All about who the bigger commercial draw is. Taylor's fight against Prograis had the lowest ever buy rate for a Sky PPV, that one last night will have been one of the highest.

Dont think your correct with that fact, one of kell brooks fights had less purchases than taylors fight, been quite a few with less, not in recent times though

Sky could sell sand to the Arabs.
IMO they choose to keep JT low key when he's P4P one of the best right now.

Taylor Prograis done 175,000 buys. The next lowest after that in Sky PPV history was Frampton Quiqq which done over 200,000.

I’m not convinced Sky fully trust Josh Taylor to be their ‘poster boy’ as it’s been said. They probably worry what comes out his mouth.
Or rather what has come out his mouth.

World boxing news has frampton and quigg at 304,000 so theor list must be wrong
Boxing forum also has this number so i think you are wrong sorry as there are lower ppv figures than taylor

SKY could be putting Josh on non PPV to generate interest, then future fights on PPV. I had no interest in that fight last night. Josh is on a different planet to those two that fought last night.

Sky are only putting huge fights on PPV now, not like the old days where Hearn would stick two rockets off the street on PPV. Hopefully that’s how it ends up.

I agree with this. Some great domestic non title fights out there.

I’m glad Josh isn’t PPV. He needs greater exposure to the casual fan. He’s very well respected within boxing but general public are all too unaware. McGuigan’s decision to go down the WBSS route was an inspired decision that ultimately gave him the opportunity to become undisputed but had he gone with Steady Eddie and Sky a few years ago, he’d be a bigger household name and have a bigger bank balance…..but with less belts. I just hope he can cash in now with some mega fights.
What really sticks in the craw is Eubank being Sky’s poster boy over Josh. Shocking but Eubank is appealing to the casual sports fan.
