Notice they have picked the old firm QFs to show. So our QF might be on Council Telly, don't know how many games the BBC are allowed to show at this stage.

That's good news as I will not be able to make the Motherwell game.

It really isn't pathetic, they are the main TV channel for the Scottish Cup and they paid for that privilege and they have first choice of fixtures, why would they take one with a lower audience? That would be commercially stupid for them to do so. Their business model like all TV producers is to maximise audience so they can sell subscriptions to more people and advertising at a higher price. This has nothing to do with football at all, it is basic arithmetic. Personally I think it is better for non Glasgow bigot fans as they have a better chance of their game being on the BBC which is free to watch. It is funny to think that huns and celtc fans have to shell out that little bit extra to watch their teams play

It is but do we really expect anything less?

Let’s be honest, all the satellite channels are the same, it is all about viewing figures, subscriptions from punters and TV advertising. If they pick the ugly sisters they get all of the above.

BBC have the Ayr v Kilmarnock game live on the Friday night so thats out for BBC. Every chance if one of the bigots get knocked out in Europe next week Premier might put that on Saturday.

Getting a ticket for Motherwell shouldn't be too much of a problem given the size of the away stand.

I’m pretty apathetic to it all now, it’s been that way since day dot.
I’m just glad I can watch the Hibs game for nish, instead of contributing to the problem.

One thing you can at least praise Premier about is their honesty in openly stating right at the beginning of their involvement with Scottish football that they were only interested in The Old Firm.

Most that cannot go,will likely watch it in pubs/clubs that have the channel.
I doubt there is at present mass subscription(no pun intended!) near to what Sky and BT have.
Personally,am glad the Hibees will be on cooncil telly, as i wont be able to attend the game,so i will not have to fork out for PPV or monthly subscription.

Couldn’t care what channel it’s on I’ll be there will be a great atmosphere easy to get too (certainly by road from Edinburgh) cracking hibs support at first game of season one of the best vocal support from us for a long time never stopped singing surely must at least sell out the stand behind the goals one game away from another visit to our second home in Glasgow canny wait :flag:

There’s some merit to this although I understand folk who can’t attend will want it shown.
A better tv deal allowing for subsidised entry may be a better, middle ground.
