I'm assuming the met office site is more reliable than BBC then as it says heavy snow Friday.

Maybe just worrying to much with the news about storms at the weekend.

The forecast for Friday's to be horrendous with snow so there's every chance it could be off particularly with Ross County being our opponents and travelling down from Dingwall.

It's more the weather on Friday that I was referring to - the BBC are forecasting heavy snow for much of the country.

I think Saturday should be ok but if there's loads of lying snow then the game might be in doubt.

Would be our luck as well. Off the back of a good performance and cup win the team and fans are back in good spirits. Game off.

This was probably discussed a few weeks ago before the Livingston game, but when was the last time a game was called off at Easter Road because of the weather? It's probably really obvious, but I'm struggling to remember.

I wouldn't worry about it, can't remember the last time a game was called off at eater road for weather. Chances are it will go ahead as normal.

Some folks were worried about the Livi game but when it came to it the weather was fine.

I remember a new years Derby, late 80s. Next game was Falkirk away when Mitchell, Bell and McEntire made their debuts. Think there was an Aberdeen game around the same time. Partick cancelled due to floodlight failure I recall as well.Cant really think of many others. 🎶Rain or snow or thunderstorm I go Hibee Hibernian 🎶

Mind getting beat by Killie at ER in an absolute blizzard in around 97. Possibly a Scottish Cup game. Paul Wright scored for them, as he always did against us.

There were a couple of Intertoto Cup games played in early July in Biblical deluges. Neither would probably have gone ahead if they'd been domestic games.

There was this one against Gretna in 2008: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/7208161.stm

The article just says 'waterlogged pitch', but I think it was waterlogged because of heavy snowfall.

Thats the one I was trying to remember, I knew it was around the short lived year or two my daughter had an interest in coming to the games.
If i remember rightly it had been snowing and quite a late call off as we were already out in Edinburgh.

Not that long ago. Back in 2018 when we had the bad snow across the country our game against Hamilton was postponed. It was a night game and it was unsafe for people to travel iirc.

Weather in Hawkhill dull and overcast with no real breeze. The game will undoubtedly be played if matters stay as they are. Much will turn on this next incoming storm and any travel issues it creates, particularly for Ross County I would imagine.

Flurries of snow through my way all morning and must have been fairly heavy through the night as it is lying albeit not very much of it.

I do live quite high up as well so I suspect if it's not too bad up my way then it will probably not be too bad elsewhere.

Provided it doesn't deteriorate over the next 24 hours then I think the game will be on.
