From the 1997 ‘save the bridge’ campaign to becoming Club world champions it’s been an incredible ride for their true fans.

Can’t help but wonder are they the luckiest fans in the world?

They are everything that’s wrong with modern football.

London huns.

Not denying they’ve ****ed football but the question is about their true fans, who followed a mediocre team, through bankruptcy then won the lottery.
I can’t help feel unbelievable jealousy at how good it must feel

Followed them in late 60s and early 70s. Once the National Front element of the fan base came to the fore stopped following. Living in London in early 90s my kids primary school was all Arsenal. Enjoyed going to Highbury with them and seeing the best of the Wenger years. Felt like a proper football club.

Interesting perspective. I moved to London last year but I’ve heard the ‘Millwall with the money’ tab been branded around’. Sorry you had to deal with those right wing fascists

Good lord no. I'll never ever feel jealous of other fans.

We are privileged to support Hibs.

John Spencer and Pat Nevin to Drogba. **** Sky and Abramovich. World club Champions haha. Quite like the aggro between the London clubs to be fair. Some good working class fans who love their clubs. Bit of a soft spot for West Ham when they were at Upton Park. Highbury great too.

If I had been a Chelsea fan, I'd have been off when Abramovich came in to town.

It’s amazing how much dodgy Russian cash can be washed through a football club.

Really?

Not trying to be cheeky but are you suggesting that if RG hadn’t bought Hibs and some oligarch had and started ploughing money in, rebuilt Easter road, made us Scottish champions and we’re getting to the latter stages of European football you wouldn’t go?

They are football people, love everything about it and certainly don't conform to and have never fitted with the stereotypes that often appear.

They enjoy the successes but recognise how they came about. There was a time when they nearly never had their team, both have a second team they care about, Hibernian, and one in particular attends games with me when he can. In fact recently he's been more enthusiastic about the drive up than me.

Takes all sorts.

Think the majority would be loving it, myself included, football fans are a fickle bunch

I had a season ticket for Crystal Palace. When Chelsea came to visit, the National Front was there selling papers. First Chelsea game I was at, there was occasional booing from the away stand, and it took me a few boos to realise that they were booing their only black player (a nippy winger called Canoville) whenever he touched the ball.

Moved to north London later and got a season ticket for Arsenal. NF hung around at Chelsea games until the late 80s
