We will be the usual underdog on Wednesday at Ibrox , why don’t we just go for it and play , Jasper , Melkersen etc , we won’t win with Nisbet and Doidge who are off the boil currently , play the boys rangers don’t know about , you never know what will happen

IMO playing The Rangers is always a free-hit especially away from home. Whatever the scoreline , good or bad, I would hope that we keep the reaction measured.

Whilst I'd hope that most people would bear in mind that we're playing a team which is worth millions more than ours and is currently nearly 30 points ahead of us, clearly if the result ends up embarrassing then I think people will rightly be asking questions, particularly with what's gone on over the past few weeks.

A 1 or 2 goal defeat and I think most reasonable people will look upon that as not being a disaster, albeit still being disappointed at losing. If it's a hammering then I think people will be entitled to question that.

Nisbet and Doidge won’t be off the boil forever..

Doidge has a bit of physicality so hopefully he can be a bit of a nuisance in the Rangers box, and Nisbet has too much quality for his barren run to extend much further. Scored a fantastic header last time out at Ibrox so hopefully more of the same tomorrow.

Lundstram to elbow Doig in the face, punch the ball 30 yards, grab Nisbet by the bollocks then give him a wedgie. Ref to wave play on.

Did they not play much better after Ryan Jack went off, i.e only up 1-0 until he was substituted? I would have preferred him to play.

I find that very encouraging for us because, if you ignore their 4 goalkeepers, it only leaves them another 23 outfield players to choose from.

Jack went off a few minutes after the second goal was scored and it was already clear that the game was over. Before that he was one of the best players on the park. Hearts threw in the towel.

Why do we always talk of games v Rangers and Celtic as 'Feee hits'. It is an important league game and we should approach it in such a manner, not just write it off as a free hit and hope for the best.

Celtic have spent around £20 million this season buying players - Lucky if we have spent anywhere near £1 million.

The financial difference makes the chance of an away win very slim.

It’s not healthy for the league playing teams x4 a season.

The success of our transfer window recruitment can be measured by the fact that this combination is the best we can come up with. Bullied by Livingston and St Mirren, don’t hold out much hope for tonight. I’d rather see Cadden or Stevenson in there with Henderson or even perhaps Campbell playing at the point of a middle 3.

I think we will approach this game with the importance you suggest. I think the reference to ‘free hit’ is not so much a capitulation from the start but a suggestion that a defeat is unlikely to be lost ground to the other ten also rans in the league.

our results against rangers (and Celtic) are pretty much what they should be given their resources compared to ours and the old firm referee bias. Beating them regularly will never be the norm while they enjoy such a privileged position, although obviously we’d all like to see our team showing balls at ibrox.

from 2014-18 The Rangers were a much more wounded animal off the pitch and therefore our results against them improved accordingly.

Porto sure to be sent off just for going on the pitch seeing as Walsh is ref. Might be better leaving him out tonight. Save him for the weekend to give us a chance against the mighty Arbroath.

We also had a bit more belief running through the fans and squad. What about the fact that Celtic hadn't beaten us in the league for years at ER until earlier this season?

We should have a ****ing go tonight, look what happened when *****bag Neilson set up his team to contain them on Sunday? A goal down and not even in the match, went chasing then got royally humped. Doesn't always do you favours and generally results in a defeat.

JDH played very well in the derby as did Campbell, who came in and only a clearance off the line prevented the winner. Need to be a bit more bullish here and go and seize the hun ***** by the scruff of the neck.

I didn’t watch the Jambos but we have learned in recent seasons that sitting back and trying to contain them doesn’t work.

Have a go and give them something to think about. We need the energy of the derby match plus a bit of quality from our forwards.

Is the away car park closed during the game? I’ve never parked in it before but I seem to remember folk saying you couldn’t get your car out if you left early. The earliest I've left Ibrox was about 10 minutes to go when they beat us 6-1 a couple of years ago and the stewards and police weren't letting anyone leave.

Not sure what the situation is if you're talking about potentially leaving at half time or anything like that though.
