I see this has hit the news today. If it’s true an innocent man has been behind bars for these murders very long time
Stone is no shrinking violet, but this is a sentence he shouldn’t be serving
I can’t remember all the evidence that convicted him?

If Bellfield is telling the truth then this is exactly why capital punishment can't be brought back.

I daresay Stone being executed in error may have drawn limited sympathy from some given his other convictions but that's beside the point. Mistakes happen in the justice system. People can be released from prison, they can't be brought back from a lethal injection.

A shame for the family as this will no doubt bring emotions back to the surface.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out though. Every chance Bellfield has just made these claims for god known what reason. I guess it will come down to how well his story matches what the police know.

This was before my time however with todays news i have have a read into and my main thought is how horrible a crime this was. Poor kids.

As for stone the guilt really does seem a little inconclusive, mainly due to forensics which have obviously come a long wat since the crime. On that note though you can bet all available forensics have been run past on Bellfield also and presumably found no link. A look at Stone’s background suggests that a lengthy sentence in jail was best for everyone.

A very dangerous individual and there is more than a fair bit of circumstantial evidence suggesting it was him.
