Both started v Motherwell and Lewis was captain.

Maybe Maloney sees Lewis more as cover for Hanlon at left CH so if Hanlon is out Lewis will be in. McGinn less likely to play now we have Rocky.

New manager's prerogative to choose captain and vice captain, McGinn was probably chosen as he knew Ross, Lewis's standing in the dressing room speaks for itself.

We probably make too big a deal over who wears an arm-band during a game but I did really think it was strange that Lewis wasn't made vice 'club' captain and wondered if he may even have not wanted such a role -but looks like he's happy to. No disrespect to Paul McGinn but SM has made the right call on this - I'd say it probably delights a lot of fans, me included to see Lewis lead us out when the chance is there.

Ryan needs to prove his discipline over a long period of time before giving him the captaincy. Paul Hanlon is just fine with the armband just now.

Porto is already the leader in defence and across the pitch . Gone are the days that who wears the arm band is the leader …even Paul H would acknowledge that when Porto plays, he is the dominant character…
