At a time like this squad needs a real injection of quality, and a statement of intent.

Glad we are signing young hopeful talent, but the squad NOW needs real players ready to play.move on as many as you like by all means but sign ready to go players who can play the style the manager you appointed wants to play.

Seen this scenario before, sell your best player and end up struggling.

We need a penalty box striker ready to play we also need defenders and a midfielder who can break up play and dictate tempo, not a midfield full of slow wingers and central midfielders who slow the tempo down.

Over to the owner.

One experienced, classy midfielder who loves to drive forward and is capable of dictating play, would make a world of difference. God knows where you find one of those in January.

That’s all that’s needed. While Charles-Cooke looks a real prospect I think it’s much more important to sign a centre mid.

The owner sacked the Head of Recruitment. Who is now in charge of this?

Hecky would stick him out on the wing.

Blah blah blah we have more than enough talent in the squad to put the mighty Livingston to bed.
Today's performance was a disgrace!

Ofcourse we do! Maloney is trying to play a system that doesn’t suit what he has.
But to play the way maloney wants we don’t have the quality he needs.
I’m no even sure maloney has what it takes to to manage the system he is trying to implement yet.
I’ve seen nothing to convince anyway.

We are missing a latapy/Allan in his prime sort of player to link to our forwards but where do we get them .

Could Hibs not spend and sign Lewis Ferguson and Lawrence Shankland, two players of that quality would transform the side and show proper ambition. It’ll never happen though, I suppose we have never really even enjoyed more than a few seasons of reckless spending, even then that was under McLeish, more than 20 years ago. If the owner really wants to transform the clubs fortunes, maybe he needs to sign a few guys who can come in and make a difference right away.

It would never happen because:

A) Ferguson wouldn’t move to Hibs from Aberdeen. When he leaves Aberdeen it will be to a bigger club than Hibs or Aberdeen.
B) Shankland has played for 2 clubs already the season so couldn’t play for us.

We’ve got £3m. I say we take Messi on loan for a fortnight.

Agree given Newell lack of time today assume he will be away.

Or hes been rested?

We'd be absolutely mental to get rid of newell unless 3 quality central midfielders are coming.

Newalls rested surely? There’s no danger we let him go now unless we have 3 midfielders incoming.

Seriously? How much do you think Aberdeen would want for Ferguson?
