New/Current Hibs chants

Given the backlash our support have received over some recent songs let’s use this thread as one to discuss current chants and new ones so everyone is aware of them and can’t sing them at games creating a better atmosphere.

What are peoples opinions of the best chants we’ve got at the moment that seem to get a good reception and create the best atmosphere and noise?

We have 6 new players and a fair few without their own song so plenty room for creativity - let’s keep them relatively simple though .

I actually think we need to get a really loud chant for Nisbet tomorrow to ice him the backing he needs - opinions of him aside. Let’s really get behind the lad so he springs back.

I thought Queens Radio Ga-ga was ripe for taking the piss out Vladimir’s ga-ga but hey ho.

I don’t know whether it would end with Vladimir! Hibees all (hate/love) you.

ultimately it’s down to mainly the young team knocking up something and letting rip for borrowed and hopefully original ones

Allez allez was an easy one that always got people going. Seems to have died away a wee bit in recent times. IIRC there was a bit of moaning that some people pronounced it 'ally ally oh', which really seemed to matter for some reason, and it dropped away not long after that.

The '**** your 1902' song works well as well because everyone can join in. The 0-0 game at Tynecastle with the whole Roseburn singing it for the entirety of the 2nd half is one of my favourite Hibs memories.

Carnival de Paris also works because it's easy and everyone can join in.

I think that's the key. Don't overthink it, keep it simple, don't have anything too long or complicated and don't exclude anyone and, certainly at the bigger games, you will get a sizeable number joining in.

I miss being in the old east singing:

“We are Hibernian FC”
“Hibernian”

And sometimes:
“Walking along the Copeland road..” a favourite of mine
“We’ve played in south Morocco”..
“Hibees bounce”

We’ve had some decent new ones too (including those touched on by PB) but I do miss the regular traditional renditions rather than constant drumming (even if the drug arguably had its place too).

To be honest I miss the old east more than anything else in this post.

What’s the one obvious song that we didn’t (from my recollection from when I got there and I was fairly early in and sober!) for that day in May 2016?

Songs now tend to be something that is seen on social media first, such as Ram yir 1902 and the Warburton song. Many a song was sung on supporters buses but never sung at matches in the past.

Make a video of your song seems to be that way to go now.
