Keep the chin up young man. Never a LCB in a million years and done the best he could. Lewy is the better defender and should've played but SM maybe just trying to get the young lad different experiences

I think the left midfield position in this formation is far more suited to him

I think he played LCB throughout his youth. Wasn't until the Queens Park loan he played LB,LWB

He was getting his first shot at centre half against the best team in the league. He'll be fine, and may well flourish there moving forward.

Seemed to be back to his best under Maloney and then done well in an unfamiliar position.

But I can’t wait to see him (hopefully) back in his most natural position on the left and back to bombing up and down the wing.

We’ve missed his direct running from there.

Also allows Clarke to play on the right.

I thought that’s what we should’ve went with on Saturday.

Clarke Porteous & Hanlon as the 3 with Doig & Cadden wingbacks.

It worked well against them until Doig went off in the derby at ER.

He was limping very heavily when he went off at Tynecastle so not starting in semi was probably due to fitness more than tactics .

Great performer when utilised effectively.
