First off - nice one Matty and the team - of a little sweary in parts - the missus shot ma look when I was playing it in the kitchen over Sonia ;)

I see it was closed and kinda understand why just a couple of points raised worth a comment:

sports bras extra ;)
- At the time it was also explained that whilst the analytics are available in real-time they were not used in that manner (the GPS can also be used for the goalies movements apparently) rather the devices / analytics gathered was used post match. We apparently ran Motherwell and a Celtic off the park but Hecky admitted there was more to it that stats he did say the club was next looking at a psychologist and reading inbetween the lines it was suggesting some of the performance issues (Doidge was still firing blanks at that point) was in their heads. But he also mentioned that first you needed to be an athlete esp if you had ambitions to play or to sell on down South. So the whole strength conditioning fitness is vitally important. he was humble, a deep thinker, answered the hard questions in detai all this a week or so before he got the bullet. He walked Doidge scored a brace. But he was quite stubborn….

increasing attendances - as ever seemed to focus on season tickets. maybe if we understood more about what makes folks become ST holders or barriers to it, we’d be better placed to tackle it. But what if there was more focus on forming the habit - I think the block of tickets is an attempt at that would be interesting to see if there is a target for converting folks utilising such an option. I just think the reduce ticket prices and they will come is too simplistic.

increasing brand awareness to become the leading sports team in Edinburgh.

The point raised why not Speculate to accumulate and get a central location ?
- well the uglies tried it and it didn’t work.

My thoughts why not have a pop up location around Prince’s Street and share it with Edinburgh Rugby, SRU, The Capitals and why not the Jambos - split the costs and let the best team win?

Options to buy an e-ticket tied in with rail/bus and airline travel and other clubs on budget routes from Edinburgh? A shuttle bus from Waverley for those with tickets (maybe with a controversial queue jumping option ;)

Anything more than a pop up I’d be surprised if the cost benefit worked out. Whether the likes of JD sport would be worthwhile I dunno. Whilst we want to make things easy as possible need to think who the target market is - is it tourists? Is it Hibees in/out of town? How do they typically buy or not? Why is the shop or online offering not enough? In the case of Hibees is hope by now we have a comprehensive Hibee database that gives us the potential to understand more about our habits to help inform future thinking around marketing and selling opps.

One final thought:

What if everyone had to play a game of truth and the outcome was that the presenters, pundits, the journos, former players, the ITK folks actually admitted en masse that nobody has a scooby what any player at any club is on and it’s all a bit of a racket to attract eyeballs and massage egos?

Apols for the length. Ciao tutti.

Interesting post. I think RG has said it’s season tickets he wants - presumably for the guaranteed income? The block of tickets is a good thing but if we meet his target of 17k ST holders there’d be no real use for that?

The pop up shop is probably the way to go - a permanent central location doesn’t feel like a goer.

Quite like the idea of a central location for all Edinburgh's sports team to showcase their wares.

What did you make of the discussion around pride in Hibs and how proud you are to be a Hibs supporter? Does pride come from anywhere other than Hibs winning if at all?

Waverley Mall would be the ideal place for this a shop/place to sell merchandise.
