I assume any one bought a ticket for the Hearts game on Jan 3rd that that ticket will be valid for the re-arranged game on Feb 1st? Is that right?

I saw someone on twitter saying that their digital ticket on their phone had run out or expired.
Kieran Power advised them to contact the ticket office to get a new one organised

Pop an email over to [email protected] Claire and the team can issue a new digital ticket pass for you ✅

If you have the original confirmation email to forward on that will speed up the team getting that done for you.
hope this helps

If it is on iPhone then you can open your wallet, scroll down to ‘view expired passes’ and reinstate it. The online thing for the right date is a good tip though, will give that a go now

I'd recommend going further back, not because of the bar though, but to get a better view of what's happening at the far end of the pitch.

Aye mate I’d rather be in an upper tier but slim-pickings for three of us that are going together now. Section 16 another option but nothing much higher up. There’s some west stand availability but only section 9 lower!

Thanks for the response 👍

There’s actually a fair few left in 25 which is strange given all other upper tiers are about sold out.

Is there still a sense of that being a singing section (is that where it was previously)? There’s no drum there anymore is there?

Would we describe 25 as one of the more family friendly areas now or is it still more for the gadgies 😁

There’s barely any ST holders there because they all moved away when the singing section did. Hopefully the club will use the resale function that’s been used in the past for this game once it’s sold out. Looks like that should happen by the weekend

Aye that makes sense actually - more availability there from the off due to season ticket holders having moved 👍

There’s no many bad seats at Easter road in my experience but I’ve not been in the famous 5 stand in a long time so thought I’d do a bit research before returning.

I think to buy tickets in the FF Lower, you have to buy a minimum of one adult and one child ticket.

That must make it harder to get that area sold out.

Unless I’ve made a huge error there’s now in the region of 390 tickets left for this match.

more than half of those are in the FF Lower. Ron and Ben need to make a decision on that section for next season. They really do. It does nothing for the ‘Hibs brand’ to see that section looking empty and forlorn for a derby match.

100% agree. That’s before any families etc don’t turn up.

I reckon if it was safe standing from next season this would be the section that sells out 1st for derbies etc in future.

Part of the problem is that you have to buy a child ticket for that section at the same time as an adult ticket as stated above so with it being a Tuesday night we are more or less pissing away money as people will not be able to buy a single adult or two adults etc etc.

Coupled with the fact that many people who have season tickets won't bring their kids it's going to be another game where the players are shooting into an empty lower tier and it's simply not good enough and not a dig at anyone sitting in that section as I myself sit in it.

It's not really a failed experiment. It worked well for the first 10 years or so, but as people have grown up, they've moved elsewhere and instead of families replacing them, they've been replaced by people buying season tickets as cheaply as possible without necessarily attending.

I'm probably being really thick but what's the cause of the FF lower generally poor attendance issue?

I get the issue of people buying cheap season tickets in that section then not necessarily attending every match, but why are the walk up ticket sales so poor for that section, even for big games like this one? i.e. not including St's there's still rakes of tickets to be sold in that section for the derby. Is it just because it's a lesser view of the pitch? What's the solution?

I think the famous 5 lower is a way of getting a cheap adult ticket and you can go when you fancy and occasionally take a child. When my kids were young they wanted to go to games and the lower section was packed. I would make the adult ticket full price and a much cheaper child(s) one. Don't have a dedicated family area but could be bought anywhere in ER. That would stop big empty spaces and people only buying seasons if they really wanted to go to games and they can be accompanied by their children.

It's not the cheapest place for an adult to sit anymore.

You can sit in the bronze seats for cheaper and the silver seats are the same price.

I know for individual games you definitely need a adult/child combo which means we can't see tickets if the rest of the ground is empty which is just silly.

I'm sure Ron Gordon would agree being a businessman that turning away money from paying customers makes no sense.

Just had a count as easy to do with so few left:

West Upper 10
West Lower 1
Famous Five Upper 10
Famous Five Lower 13

Total 34

Knowing Hibs more tickets will start to appear?
And once sold out Season ticket holders can notify Hibs not attending and ticket can be resold via Hibs - think Season ticket holder gets some credit that reduces next season ticket cost?

My e ticket is still for the January 3rd fixture and says ‘this pass has expired’ on the QR code. I’m assuming the ticket office will be able to update my e ticket over the phone and my seat is still my seat?

Just with the chat earlier about the digital season ticket pass. Has anyone managed to get it to work with an iPhone 12? The QR code on the Apple Wallet is located at bit that does reach inside the scanner.

I did have some success with copying the QR code into the Notes app on my phone but even that seems a bit temperamental these days.
There is an option to save the ticket to Wallet but the box is sometimes not just greyed out it’s practically white washed.

Do you still have email? Download ticket into your wallet again if you have. If not go on to ticketing site and ask for them to resend email.

This will mean the ticket is refreshed.

Seeing a few tickets floating about for sale on Facebook, probably folk who bought for the original fixture and now cant make it. As another poster said, its not selling out the FF lower, its whether these folk will turn up, I would reckon at any given home game at least 50% of FF lower ST holders fail to show, lately its probably been even worse than that.

That mystery aside I don't know about anybody else but I'm totally scratching my head as to what our starting XI will be, we only have 2 games left before we play them and it was clear from the way we played against Cove Rangers that we are still a long way from mastering SM's way of playing. If it is to be the slow turgid recycling of the ball we saw at Celtic and against Cove I fear for us because if Hearts do one thing well it's moving the ball quickly and closing down even quicker ... we really will have to be at our very best to have any hope of a good result.

That isn't the usual derby jitters by the way, its just that since SM arrived I haven't seen anything like the pace and energy from any team he has put on the park that you need to just get a foothold in an Edinburgh derby, never mind win one.

Put it on your Lock Screen. Then it’s full screen and closer to the bottom of the device. I had the same issue.

That’s how I use it anyway and it still doesn’t work. I also took a screenshot which worked for a while but now seems to take an age to actually scan. I put the ticket for the Cove game onto an app called Stocard which gives three different options for where the QR code sits and that worked a treat.

The point isn't about selling seats for the FF lower mate, the point is that we sell those seats pretty well at ST time and at practically every game half the folk who have bought those seats fail to turn up. Even if its sold out for the derby it doesn't guarantee it wont have huge gaps in it as once again half the folk with season tickets for that area continue their now seasons long habit of failing to show.

Its seriously time that Hibs started selling family tickets for other parts of the stadium and turned the FF lower over to safe standing. That way families would still have access to cut price deals at ER but there would be far less chance that their picking and choosing of what games they attend results in obvious and dishearteningly huge gaps in the most visible part of our stadium and the part of it most suited to a safe standing area.

It still seems a bit strange buying a pub that's traditionally a football fans watering hole and then turning away or at least discouraging fitba traffic. The idea that the Four in Hand would ever have a sign up saying no football colours is hard to process in all honesty. My personal experience being an avid pub goer pre match over 40 plus years is that though fans can be a wee bit rowdy it rarely gets worse than that, I can honestly say I've never seen a fight in a pub full of fans, even ones with fans of both sides.

From Hibs point of view if its getting harder or at least less inviting to frequent the boozers around the stadium on a matchday it opens the door for Hibs to push the likes of behind the goals more than they do. In fact we could do worse than build a big Wetherspoons style boozer in the east / FF corner that you can access on matchday so long as you have a ticket for the game, coz at the moment its just a wasted space.

Yeah, and the previous chat was all about it never selling out, so it means folk have had to move on to some other form of attack

Given the number of tickets sold to walk ups, it's quite clear that it'll be at least 75% full, which would be pretty fair with it being an evening game in winter, i.e. a few folk not wanting to take their kids.

Any chat I’ve ever seen is about it being empty, whether that be through unsold or non attendees. Regardless if it’s a midweek game against hearts or a weekend game against Livi, the place will have a multitude of empty seats. It’s interesting but I’d genuinely wager a bet there are many tickets completely unused throughout the season.

I get the feeling that the “football pubs” can tend to struggle on non-match days, therefore they’re making a decision to try to be profitable 13 days a fortnight rather than one.

You need to change the settings from "assign" to "manage" his tickets.

Quite a lot of seats up for resale. Strangely the ffl is probably the one with the least available. Certainly not a huge outlier % wise.

Unable to go but cannot find how to release my seat but may be because I am a senior and only Adult tickets can be resold ?

99 tickets left out of 21000 is a good effort

Let's see it sell out completely for Edinburgh's biggest football crowd since 2019

One of my mates who has a senior concession season ticket in the gold section of the east has just put his ticket up for sale as he's on holiday on Tuesday. He can't believe that he got £17.50 back for the ticket less fees. That is more than the original ticket cost if you divide £255 by 19 games. Fair play if a full adult buys it but what if another concession buys it. Crazy from Hibs.

Released tickets have to bought at full price. This is from the article on the official website: 'Those seats are available for £35. Please note only adult tickets can be purchased and purchasers need to have been registered on the database for min 12 months and have a previous purchase history.'

Can we put whoever gave up ST seats, or who didn't give them up but still don't attend on Tuesday, at the bottom of the queue for the Tynecastle ticket scramble?:duck:

I think it's a good thing - shows the club wants the sporting advantage that comes from every seat being filled & a vocal, bouncing Easter Road under the lights, while season ticket holders don't lose out.

Just got the message about ticket resale.

Not sure if all three of us can go, so might take advantage of that.

It's a really good idea, for both parties

What was the pub on duke street before it was nauticus? I think I’m going nuts, I could have sworn it was called the cavern before it shut and became Nauticus - or Notforus.
I think it was called the Carldon for a while, which is probably where you’re getting confused, it was the golf before that.

Not sure about that. I reckon there will be a few tickets up for resale after the last few performances.

Looks like all the tickets for resale cost £35, so the club won't be missing out if they pay the ST Holders £17.50

Yeah, essentially the ticket exchange is you giving/donating your ticket back to Hibs to sell at whatever price they deem fit.

The £17.50 in return is a gesture from hibs.

Golf Tavern was a good wee pub in the 90s.

Tickets available :

West 47
Famous Five 27
East 8
Total 82

Vast majority tickets released by Season ticket holder who cant make game - would be good if Famous Five stand is pretty full - of course there could be season ticket holders there who wont be in attendance who dont release their ticket for resale?

I didn't realise that was the case till I tried it yesterday.

Still hasn't sold, though, so probably won't get anything for it.
