I wouldn't say Boyle's a certainty to start considering the current speculation surrounding his future.

Same as Dundee Utd but with Clarke & Mueller in for Stevenson & Wright.

Considering McGinn and Porto are suspended, Henderson can't play against his parent team and Doidge is still coming back into fitness I think you'll be close to pot on with that. Cadden maybe in for Boyle with Mueller playing on the front line if we are likely to accept an offer from another team for Boyle.

I think we need to be careful and not make too many changes at once, particularly in defence.

Rocky to replace Porteous would be the only change I’d make there.

I wouldn’t start Melkerson up front yet, whether Mueller starts probably depends on what happens with Boyle.

Henderson won’t be able to play, Tait will need to start on the bench I’d have thought.

The cove rangers game could be an exciting to be at though as I think most of the new boys will get a decent run out.

Oops, forgot it was a loan to start off with, quick edit.😁

Don't know what the team will be .... but make it as attacking as possible and take the game to them, we have played two first halves against them recently where we have been awful and then when we decided / were forced, to go for it after half time we have probably been the better team.

IMO it's always a free hit at Celtic park or Ibrox ... just bloody go for it.

Minimal changes from Dundee Utd I think. Clarke in for Porteous on the right of the three (I think that is where he will play for the rest of the season). Place on the left of the front three up for grabs.

I think you'll need to get used to three at the back. Maloney played Stevenson there against Dundee United so he could play his favoured formation.

I'll be stunned if we play 3 at the back against Celtic. Especially in Glasgow.

I think Belgium play with 3 at the back, Maloney obviously wasn't picking the team but it's a system he'll no inside out.

I mean, 3 quite easily becomes 5 when defending. 3 isn't more offensive than 4, and 5 isn't more defensive than 4. It's all about execution. We've won plenty of big games, especially against Rangers with 3.

It might work when everyone is available.

Everyone wasn’t available at Tannadice and it worked really well with Lewis playing in it.

Celtic is a different game but we’ve signed two defenders since Tannadice as well so availability isn’t and issue.

He’s not going to change the way he clearly wants to set up three games in.

I mean, in the cup final, we drew the first half 0-0, then went for it in the second half and lost that 2-1.

So it's not a simple that "going for it" is the right thing to do.

Why? Should we not have a go?

One of the exact reasons Ross was booted, for allowing his pants to be pulled down in Glasgow.

We should not be turning up there giving them respect.

Would be my guess. None of the new guys will start bar Clarke/Bushiri given Porteous/McGinn out.

Kyogo in Celtic injury sweat as Japanese star is 'major doubt' for Hibs clash.

Bushiri hasn't played this season, he only played 8 games last season, I'll be very surprised if he starts. Don't think he'll play much this season, Maloney will have a good look at him and see if it's worth giving him a deal in the summer. Don't think we'll be paying much for his services, so it won't be a disaster if it doesn't work out.

SM already knows him from the Belgian job. Bushiri wasn't brought here to sit on the bench....

McGregor starts for me. Can't see 2 young players making theit debuts in the back 3 at Parkhead. I see Hanlon, Porteous & Clarke playing regularly when everyone's fit and suspension-free.

Slightly off topic, but how many managers is it now for Lewey ? 12 ?

Back on topic, I’d rather see a 3-4-3 and have a go, trying to pick it ? It’ll be fun to see !
