Fined and banned for a year for drink driving
Interestingly, the BBC have also published his weekly wage, I'm guessing this needed to be declared to the court so they could assess the level of fine......£3500 a week.
Astonishing Dundee are able to pay that a week to a player. Perhaps the idea that our top earners are on 3/4k a week is underestimating things.

That's an astonishing wage for Dundee to be paying - particularly to a 36 year old.
Can't quite believe that - over £180,000 a year - wow!

Shankland was on £5k a week before they sold him plus goal bonuses, which I’m told we’re pretty substantial too
Shankland was at Utd.

Hahahhahha oops!
But still, that’s a stupid amount of money for any club based in Dundee to be paying

In Shankland’s case though if he was on £5k a week then you can argue it was justified. He was there for 2 years so that’s £500k in wages, they sold him for around £1m so that comfortably pays for his wages the whole time he was there. Plus he played a huge part in getting Utd promoted which was obviously very important financially.
More difficult to justify paying Charlie Adam £3.5k a week though when he has no sell on value, is constantly injured and is wrapping his car around trees whilst pished.

With all that money you'd think he could afford some cosmetic dental work "teeth like a broken fence"

But played a huge part in getting them promoted and thus pays for that salary a fair few times over.

I seen a bit of Adams on the tele tonight, in a Liverpool shirt playing against Cardiff City in league cup final.
Should be sound financially unless he’s got Garry O’Conner as a financial advisor. :greengrin

Adam will also be making a nice bonus for his punditry work on 5 Live.

I didn’t read the article but saw a headline in one of the red tops that suggests his BBC work has dried up after the drink drive allegation.

This isn’t BBC Scotland stuff. It was national radio - so I’d imagine it would be a bit more than a few hundred quid.

No chance Jim. Fees are nothing like that ….people do it as part of building their media career at times…but the appearance fees are recognised as low ..

don’t know precisely for that programme. But do for other similar BBC productions - there are not big fees for guests …

I’ll say £450 :greengrin think expenses as well, not bad for a couple hours talking about football.
Boyd must be making a fortune as a pundit, seems to be on everything nowadays.
