Saw an update on facebook saying she was last seen 10am on the 1st leaving a party on Marlborough Street in Portobello.

Horrible stuff, as all missing person stories are. After a certain amount of time has lapsed though, there is a certain "pit of stomach" feeling that it's not going to end well.

I only hope this bucks that trend

Wasn’t aware that there is also a 37 year old man from Musselburgh and a 53 year old man from “central Edinburgh” missing too, all around the same time period of Hogmanay/New Years day. What on earth is going on?!
