Not too sure wether I'm crying through laughter or sadness. What a wonderful programme about one of Scotland's finest ever exports. So sad what Parkinson's has done to him.

I'm reading it now. It's a bit like his shows in some respects, in that he veers off in tangents while telling a story. I think he dictated it to his daughter to type for him, and it does read like that I'd say. Even the chapter headings are hilarious!!

Think that's been on before but brilliant nevertheless. Shows two things to me. One how brilliant connolly was and is and two just how crap so called comedians are now. We downplay him as he's one of us but a more hilarious guy I've yet to see.

Even the chapter headings are hilarious!!5 chapters in, some genuinely laugh out loud moments as well as some good tales and bits of social history too.

There was a new one in STV last week - about his life now etc. was also good - loads of old clips that are still funny no matter how often you’ve seen them.

An absolute hero of mine growing up. Funny, I was just talking to my kids about him the other day, saying that in the 80's and 90's he could walk down any street in Scotland, even the least populated town anywhere in the country and EVERYONE would know who Billy was, such was his reach to everyone. The fact almost every modern comedian holds him up as an inspiration speaks volumes of his influence.

Did see the one abouts folk painting him for his 75th? Very enjoyable.
