Football thin on the ground here. Just wind my son's up about the basketball. Two glory hunter follow the Lakers now. One has stayed loyal to Golden State.

Just seeing friends mainly. We’ve organised a curry night on the 8th, first time all 15 of us will have been together since a stag weekend October 19.

Are restaurants allowed to take bookings that size? I thought the limit was 6 people?

It was actually me who booked it, they took the booking ok. No doubt we will be split across two or three tables potentially.
Edit - I messaged them to check:
Hi there, yes the booking is still fine to go ahead. If you let us know how many households will be there we can split the table next to each other for you.
Meeting at ours for drinks and Jeff Soccer Saturday. Taxi’s to the restaurant, separate tables, couple of pints in the boozer then back to the pub shed for darts games. Some of us were all at the flight club in Manchester recently, hoping to recreate that. Actually really looking forward to this.

I think only Wales and maybe NI have reintroduced restrictions on group sizes in hospitality settings.
Live life to the norm.
It’s not as if hibs were playing every day for the next 21 days.

I was down your neck of the woods over Xmas (Hebden Bridge) took in Huddersfield v Blackpool yesterday (had planned BPA v York but game aff ).
Might be tempted to try a few games in the North of England next couple of weeks, all things permitted.

Hebden Bridge is like another world but a great place. Hope you enjoy it.
Actually got offered a couple of freebies at Huddersfield but turned them down. If had known you were down could have had then.
My mate was at BPA for a game other night he asked me to go funny enough. York would have seen a huge crowd too shame it was off.

Last minute call off too. Huddersfield game was hugely entertaining and the updates from Tannadice helped. I’ve kept my BPA tickets meantime, you never know.

Haha. Quite a few in Hebden are known for a smoke and won't feel the cold 😁. I have walked the canal a few times which runs through the centre.
If you're down this way to any other games give me a shout. BPA is actually just down the road from my house.
York have a new ground but not been over there yet another one I need to tick off.

I’ve loads of things to be doing so I’m glad the football’s off for a while. It is a huge distraction no matter how much I try not to let it dominate my thoughts. I’m going to bin three quarters of my social media, spend time in nature, learn how to dance, and relax my mind. Maybe get back to the gym.

Random. Liked the sound of the place. We try to get away most years. Me, Mrs Iggy and her old dear. Some beautiful Penines countryside, decent couple of pubs and eateries. The canal side is lovely. Had half a dozen games to choose from too but the weather and Covid were eating in to them fast!

Nice one. I quite like a place called Skipton which is just over the hill from there. Yes there is some great places around here. Sowerby Bridge is near too along with Hollingworth lake.
Some decent football clubs too. Guiseley AFC is a good one as it has an excellent chippy on the roundabout by the ground.
Also I wouldn't recommend clubs like Halifax, Bradford, Leeds etc. Prices to get in are stupid and much better to visit non league grounds around here.

I’ve done Bradford and Leeds. Would’ve been tempted by the non league Shay on Boxing Day but that was off as well!
Not a ground hopper by any stretch but agree with your thoughts on non league grounds, usually a good day out.

I believe that was all ticket due to trouble before being called off.
20 odd quid is a joke for that standard.
I went to Kidderminster away in fa cup only game seen Halifax this season was day after we played Motherwell at home. Some travelling that weekend. Least I didn't drive to either I guess.
I did agree to go to an Xmas/NY game with my mate and think was meant to be Chesterfield tomorrow but he has not mentioned it so guess he is now going now 😁.

Been to Chesterfield, that’s a good day out. We need to get a ground hop thread I reckon.

Saw St Andrews United play their first ever home game under lights yesterday evening. They're hoping the new installation will get them the licence for entry to the Scottish Cup next season.
2-0 down to Kennoway Star Hearts with 15 minutes to go, then stormed back to win 3-2. A great baptism for the lights.

This should be announced in parliament. Whilst the PO has no control over Civil Servants, he needs to remind the government this should be announced in the chamber.
