The East Stand: Fan-written Hibs Content

I'm really pleased to share The East Stand (http://eaststandhibs.com), a new online written media platform for features and opinion pieces on all things Hibs.

With the demise of the match programme and the rise of some excellent fan-run podcasts in the last couple of years I think (and hope) there's a space for some fan-led writing about Hibernian online.

The hope is to provide fans with a space to share their memories, views and opinions. I've been writing about Hibs in my spare time for years and hope that anyone else doing the same will view the new site as a place for it to be showcased with the wider support.

I've kicked off with a couple of pieces covering the last week or so as Shaun Maloney arrived at the club and would love to hear from anyone interested in featuring on the site.

There won't be any 'in the know' pieces or tabloid-style news stories. There also won't be any match previews or reports as the club have that covered - I hope it can be somewhere for positive, balanced and well-thought-out pieces of writing about the football club we all love.

Not sure about that slogan.
Its similar to the slogan of a 1960s Alabama, USA Governor;(

Why do folk keep saying Ryan will leave because of the media??

There has been nothing to suggest this is the case, it’s all just made up by some fans by the looks of things.

If he moves it will be for more money and to a bigger a club. I’d bet the media will have no impact at all on his decision making.

I wasn’t saying he will move because of the media, just saying if he does move as a result of the constant drumbeat of bad press then who could blame him.
