I've never got the hate for Drey Wright so I'm pleased to see him get this opportunity. No doubt every minor mistake will be pounced upon, but he's got a decent touch and might be quite well suited to that role.

What a dominant half.

Not created a huge amount but when we play 1 touch and a bit more of a risk we’re getting joy.

Wright has been good, much sharper and has the ability to do one touch or take it under pressure.

JDH needs to be much more positive. The amount of times the defence does well to find him in with a good pass only for him to play it back is infuriating and allows United to get back in shape.

Campbell and Doig also playing well.

Want more from Nisbet despite the goal.

United haven’t created anything close to a shot, very pleasing.

The most noticeable thing for me is that we look much better when we don't have the ball. We suffocate the opposition and win it back quicker.

I like the way the manager is trying to get the players to be brave and knock it about but think we'll need better quality midfield players to see it at its most effective. We're too slow to move the ball and too often it goes backwards. A work in progress (obviously) at this stage but encouraging signs.

Good possession, good pressing, sharp passing but just lacking that wee bit creativity in the final 3rd, this is purely down to the quality of the players we have though. I thought Wright played very well in the hole and was at least being creative. As someone above said, Doyle-Hayes needs to be more positive in possession, looking to go backwards too often but still good seeing us dominate the game and would like to see more shots on goal at least for the dominance we've shown.

The defending is a massive improvement.

Under Ross we would back off, get in a shape and allow them to come to 35 yard of our goal.

It’s very risky strategy as they’ll create something eventually or a ball will fall to them.

Under Maloney they don’t have that opportunity. We win it back so quick and the back 3 have been solid and read the game brilliantly on the couple of occasions they’ve had to defend.

Never even celebrated the goal as I was sure he was a mile off and it would be called back. Delighted the officials never called it though and we deserve out lead.

Hats of to Maloney as we are playing a completely different style and looking like we have played it all year. I find it dull as ditch water for the most part but when we have the ball it saves us defending crosses and when we don't we have been brilliant at getting it back quickly. Stevenson has looked excellent in the LCH position and he seems to find that ball into strikers feet better than most the team. One of those balls got us moving quickly and led to the goal. Maloney certainly proving me wrong as I thought this style would be difficult to play in Scotland for a number of reasons. It looks like it could be a winner though and as others have said if our deep lying midfielder could think of turning forwards then it would speed us up and make it far more enjoyable to watch.
