I know it’s in the Daily Mail, but now being reported across most news outlets
Even if there was any truth in it, how could you prove it

Going on McPakes comments when Dundee played us he certainly sounded like he wanted players to go in hard on opposition players so maybe not much in this.

Dundee are just a dirty team, McPake pretty much confirmed that against us a few weeks back. The problem is though they do have a few players who wouldnt surprise me if they where upto no good.

I’d be more interested in a request to have suspicious refereeing decisions patterns investigated by the SFA. :greengrin:wink::wink:

Agreed. I'd be looking at our game against Aberdeen. The consistency with booking was ridiculous. Gogic got booked and then a Don pulls back Doig when charging into the box at start of second half but no booking. The way bookings are dished out like confetti one game and then hardly any for teh same offences next games always made me think refs were at it

Wouldn't surprise me the way Dundee players have been acting recently. Rudderless ship.

So that’s 4 pieces of really **** PR for Dundee in 2 weeks.
To even have these accusations, couple with the comments from their “manager” after the match last week just reeks of a club on a real downward trajectory.

Dundee are an oddity for me. Looking back over the last 30 or 40 years every comparable club in Scotland has had their moments in the sun, periods where they are good and performing in the top end of the top flight.
Clubs like Motherwell, Killie and St.Johnstone even do it on a regular basis.
Sure they might have 2 or 3 rough years but then they will have a decent 2 or 3 years.
Not Dundee though. The only decent side I can remember was the guaranteed administration side of Ravinelli (sp?) and Co, even that was very brief and left zero legacy.
Life isn't always a bed of roses following Hibs but my god, a lifetime of Dundee gloom isn't worth thinking about.

It may not necessarily translate into bodies through turnstyles at Dens, but I always got the feeling that they had a surprisingly big support (I lived in Dundee for 9 years). Given how relentlessly awful they’ve been over the course of my lifetime (I’m 44) coupled with how well their neighbours had done at times, I always had respect for their tortured but loyal fanbase.
I’ve actually got a proper soft spot for them and know some great Dundee fans from my time up there. I used to go to the odd derby (when it didn’t clash with Hibs games) and they’re brilliant occasions. All the daftness of any local derby, enough strength of feeling to make it worthwhile without the poison of the OF. Second best derby in Scotland behind ours imo.

Same. I work up there. Lot of time for the Dundee fans and their city. There is a hell of a lot of them.

Go back to a time when we stole their manager (Shankly) in the mid 1960's when Jock Stein left us for the other mob, Dundee had a magnificent team for the first 5 years or so of this decade, not had much since then, but looking back at players such as Gilzean, Bill Brown, Charlie Cook and just before them our own Gordon Smith, and Alan Cousins wi big Ian Ure at centre half, they had some team, with some amazing European nights as well.

Who in their right mind bets on the number of cards Willie Collum gives out? Total lottery.

They had two yellow cards and then the second yellow for a red card against us. Should have had another couple in the game too.
Not surprised if people were lumping on them to have over 30 booking points at a decent price.

If it wisnae for them Hertz would have won the league.
After 2016 this ranks in my top 5 of being a Hibby fi Gorgie.

Dundee are taking the Falkirk route to obscurity. Only St J will potentially stop them going down. They must be hugely in debt also.
