On the back of today's announcement are you more or less likely to attend tomorrow? Undecided still, or were you always going or not going before today?

I was always going but the other 2 I normally go with weren’t going to bother with it being a midweek game this close to Christmas. After the announcement they’ve both said they’ll be there as well now.

I'll definitely be there, I can't usually make midweek games as I work in northern Glasgow, but I've got the week off so will definitely be going. And it's my birthday the day after so hopefully a double celebration.

I’m an ST holder. If I decide not to go, how do I watch on tv? I know it’s not Hibspass now but not where to go instead.

Already decided not to go.

Partly because midweek games are difficult enough to make, and partly because I have to be careful about Covid due seeing elderly relatives for Xmas, pressure of work and having been in the shielding category.

Treat this as the last game you'll see live before the split, and anything that anything esker than that will be a blessing. That's what I'm doing.

I would be going regardless but nice to be able to go to a hopefully busy ER and get to a game before Omicron becomes an issue some time next week.

I cannot attend
But i sure hope you all raise the roofs off.
And its time Paul McGinn had his own song/chant
He has earned it for his passion and calling out that Cheatin Beaton

What's certain is there is still more freedom in Scotland than there is in Ireland (evening curfew) Belgium (ditto) and the Netherlands (full lockdown).

There's a worsening phase of an ebb-and-flow pandemic out there, and we nip it in the bud over January.

Stay safe (or choose not to) enjoy the game & good luck to Shaun & the team

Looking forward tomorrow. Wouldn’t have thought that on Sunday night but having the new manager, and knowing it might be the last time we get to see them for a while, hopefully gives the place a bit of edge that has been lacking this season.

I'd already decide to go but if i'd been in any doubt, I'd be more likely to go as I suspect it will be the last time we get to go to a game for a few months. I'll be taking the precaution of wearing a mask and gloves at all times to mitigate the risk of infection. I think if everyone was doing this and using a bit of common sense when they were in the vicinity of others , we'd all be getting to go to the derby.

On Sunday night I could have seen Hibs and fitba far enough, even though we were cheated by Beaton that didn't mean I was happy about the passive way we approached the game for the most part.

By Monday evening I was looking forward to Wednesday .... a new manager's first game, Paul McGinn calling out that incompetent / cheating twat and hopefully the start of a new era, And now it looks like it could be the last game we will see in person for a while as well.

It'll be the same as for every game .. a lateral flow test in the afternoon and one the next morning. The way cases are rising I can't say I'm in the least surprised the fitba has been binned, in all honesty I'm surprised it didn't happen before last weekend.

Ach, having said all that I was always going to go :greengrin

Had already decided not to go.

I didn't want to get track and traced at a restaurant before Christmas so was just going to head to the game only. Then I realised a bus down to Leith, sitting in the cold, then another bus home all with the outside chance of picking up Covid wasn't all worth it when it could be replaced by Hibspass and a few beers with the game.

I appreciate it is a very small sample but if indicative of behaviour of most fans it should worry Scottish Government. There are 4 times more fans more likely to go because of the enforced 500 limit to football. The Government narrative is all built around how dangerous this variant is and emotive and powerful language like Tsunami of cases etc. All the advice is stay at home yet more, according to this poll, will venture out tonight than if they had done nothing. That to me is the social contract breaking down. Citizens are now more likely to not follow guidelines because the law/rules have stopped making sense. I hope it is a bumper crowd tonight and the new manager gets a taste of a good atmosphere at ER. Hopefully, all the forecasts of Tsunamis are wrong and we can be back at ER for the Derby. If we are anything like South Africa then there is a chance and football and other fans should be pushing the Government to evidence why the restricted attendences are in place if forecasts prove wildly inaccurate. The day she forecast a Tsunami there was 5018 cases and talk of Omicron doubling every two days. Latest figures 12 days later show 524 cases, 60 less in hospital and 5 less in intensive care. Not sure that amounts to a biblical type wave and there are 4 times fewer in hospital now than there was in January 2021.

Half day from work, 3pm train to Edinburgh for a few beers before heading to ER.

Really looking forward to it, should be a good game.

Probably should know but what's the situation with the passports? Presumably they will still be needed for over 18s but they don't check even when they ask you to show them. Haven't heard of anyone getting refused entry but maybe that is because everyone is jabbed

Proof of double vaccination or evidence of a negative lateral flow test is officially required for entry into the stadium but you possibly won't even be asked and even if you are the steward will barely look at it.

I’m going. I reckon it will be the last game we are able to go to this season.

My dad isn’t going as he doesn’t want to potentially spoil Christmas Day if he picks something up at the game. Kind of pointless since Christmas Day is at mine and I’m going but hey ho.

Cheers. If I do go I'll have to get the passport done I think. Still unsure. Horrible way to live tbh. Especially since it sometimes feels the only place we're entitled to go is our workplace...

Decided to err on the side of caution and not go, my brother and pal (who I normally go with) were already not going and I'm hosting on xmas day so think the smart thing for me is to watch the game with a bottle of malbec in the house.

My gut feeling is I'll be back watching the team sooner rather than later anyway.

*The weather helped make my mind up too 😂

Great crowd this time of year. Big game for both teams could really do with the win.
