Just a massive thanks to all the supporters who were at hampden today you all played your part but ultimately it wasn't enough ,when I got home I watched the highlights and the noise when we scored was amazing didn't realise that at the time.
Once again thanks to everyone who made the game today I'm sure the players appreciate it.

Other than the result which was obviously disappointing that was one of the best Hampden experiences I’ve had. I didn’t see any aggro, nor the same levels of drunkenness that have been common at Hampden trips. The guys in front of us were great lads - from the Iona branch I think - and we were in the very top row. They were probably the best seats I’ve had at Hampden.

Largely agree with that but, unfortunately, there was a fight in Section M, just next to the press area. Two Celtc Fans celebrated the second goal and it all got a bit nasty.

The incident result in crying children in the front row.

Yeah I was just about to post this... I was sat a couple of rows behind the 2 celtc fans. Bit of a rammy for a minute or so with guys coming down from way behind me to get involved. I genuinely thought at one point someone was going to end up over the wall and fall down into the lower tier. Seemed to take a while for stewards to appear and do anything to calm the situation and then around 5 minutes later, after the 2 had been ejected, a lone policeman appeared and just stood looking around.

Did the copper have his ‘Police Slow’ sign with him?

He didn't seem too switched on to be honest, appeared and then just stood there trying to put his earpiece in, so I'm not even sure if he knew what had been going on.

I was on the second row near the press area.

There was a guy in front who had evidently appointed himself the 'Celtfinder General'. He spent the time before the match scanning the crowd carefully and pointing out individuals. He also spent much of the second half leaning over to look at the crowd down in the bottom tier. That blocked my view of the actual match. He did look a bit unhinged.

It all kicked off after a Celtic goal and a young kid was attacked. He looked very bemused and tried to escape and ended up practically on my lap with the idiots trying to knock lumps out of him. Eventually the stewards arrived and escorted him away. It wasn't as if the area was jammed. I was the only one sat on the second row of that part of the stadium.

It's a shame that those nutters didn't channel their anger into giving more support to the team.

There was a guy next to me with block 7 shouting "fenian *******s" don't think was in block 7 but it was weird for a hibs fan to shout that. Probably was taking the piss but still shouldn't be said.

That never nice to read obviously.

I think because I’ve had some really ***** Hampden experiences my bar is very low 😂

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know how the guy is that took a nasty fall down the steps at the top of section B2? He seemed to be up and responding once the paramedics took him away, but it was a very distressing half hour or so before that.

The random black sections are a bit weird, kinda ruin the display.

It was either that or green and white stripes... which would be a bit of a problem when we're playing Celtc

Support was pretty good but a special mention for the guy behind us giving it "English b*****d" for most of the 2nd half. I'm sure Joe Newell and Matt Macey appreciated your support.

Who organised the display ? block 7 ?

Must have cost quite a bit and obviously took quite a lot of time for folk to sort.

Great effort - black looks fine.

Because we all thought that concerns on the covid would mean a lot of empty seats as some made the decision not to go.

When i saw the display on tv unfold i felt so proud of all in the stands, and wished i was there.
In the circumstances, i thought it was brilliant, and a wonderful surprise.

Well done Block 7 /Since 1875. :top marks

My 9 yr old Great-grandson experienced his first Hampden final and loved the day.

I told him "you'll be back, son, maybe very soon"

Our tickets were in beside them. We relocated as 3 times as many of them squashed in as there were seats, and with that and their flags we couldn't see anything. Plenty spare seats to relocate to though, so no biggy.

Certainly can't fault their enthusiam. :greengrin

Agree with purple as an add on. We use purple a lot as a popular second strip over the years and would look great and set us apart from Celtic. Don't get the black.

as for the 2nd part, that along with the reported "fenian b******s" shouts heard by others, quite deplorable behaviour
