A lovely down to earth guy, long term member here and a good hibby.

I remember Mike and his pal being on the .net bus for the 2016 final and chatting to him in the cricket club where he told me about a large lift he had on the horses just a few weeks before. Can't mind the amount but it was big. I'm sure he he lost more than his fair share but he got neither up nor down about it all. That was just him.

Be really nice if Hibs did it Sunday.

Last met Mike in Broughty Ferry for a beer about 4 years ago - and was just thinking about him earlier this week.

A pint of heavy, a roll-up and a line on the gee-gees made his day.

Eternal Glory Glory to you Mike Allan 💕

Get it won for MIM on Sunday Hibs!!

Rest In Peace pal.

Terrible news. He'll be up there with all the greyhounds( Snoozy and co), and horses he loved. Spent time with him at Thornton, where he knew which dogs had a chance or not. His syndicates were legendary, and brought much joy to the owners.

Rest in peace, Mike.

Sad to hear this. Mike was a great guy, I met him a few times at the games and had a few pints with him at the miners club when hibs.net had that night out with the Scottish Cup.
RIP Mike let’s hope the boys can lift the cup for you tomorrow.

I knew Mike from the Fife bus from my early years following Hibs and I would always stop to chat whenever I ran into him at games. A gentleman and throughly decent guy. The last time i saw him was the Scottish Cup tie at Raith in 2016.

Gutted to hear he's passed.

RIP Mike.
