I’m taking the car on Sunday, where are the best places to park and are there any special parking provisions in place?
Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

Be careful where you park in the streets around Hampden. They require parking permits.

Think I’ll be driving now too. Don’t fancy the train with all this Omicron nonsense. Any suggestions welcome

Parking in Kings park area is usually good as you can head out towards EK then onto M8 that way.

I remember a few years ago the Queens Park recreation ground was used as a car park as I parked there a couple of times. Don't know if that's still the case though.

Assuming there’s no parking restrictions these days try Albert Road on the Crosshill railway station side of Cathcart Road.
There’s usually plenty spaces and it’s only about a 10 minute walk to the Mount Florida end of Hampden.
It’s also quite easy to get onto the M8 from afterwards, especially if you avoid Polmadie.

It's a good website, but unfortunately Clyde College sold out.

Park at the Asda.
You'll likely get a fine through the post if you park there.

I registered and didn't. It comes up with a message 'Unfortunately, this space is fully booked on the day(s) you have selected!'
I've tried it several times now and the same message comes up. And the 18th is greyed out as well as unavailable so don't know how you got Clyde College but well done anyway.

The games on the 19th (not sure if you meant that or not) - £7 for a space from 9am Sunday.

Remember, there's probably gonna be thousands of folk who wouldn't normally take the car taking their car. Parking could be a bit of an issue.

I hope so as that will be my transport back to the centre. Looking at trainpal app there is several trains an hour showing for Sunday.

If taking the car and don't mind a little bit of a walk I would park in Rutherglen.
15-20 minute walk to Hampden, however, when you get back to the car after the match you'll be able to join the M74 at Rutherglen/Dalmarnock and be on the M8 sharp missing all the traffic trying to get on the motorway down at Polmadie.
You will also come off the motorway earlier which will save you some time stuck in traffic.

Park at the Asda.
My ex sister in law parked at Asda for one Final (can't remember which one as there are so many!)
She knew any ticket wasn't enforcebale in Scotland, what she didn't realise was the dog's dinner trying to get out of the car park!
Edit: Another one who has signed up for parking at Clyde College and it was a doodle to do - https://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/l...IaAjL2EALw_wcB
To be honest, I normally drive through any time we have been at Hampden and can usually find on street parking. However, this time round, more and more fans will be driving over to avoid being in buses and trains and for £7.49, it means I have a guaranteed space. Saves me driving over now?

Parked a few times in and around Holmlea Road near Holmlea Park, pretty close to Hampden and the right end of the ground on this occasion.

Park near The Shed and take part in the Hibs Corteo GGTTH!!
If myself and my boys don’t make it there in time we will use the same quiet street we used for the Semifinal which is a ten minute walk from our end.

Asda toryglen, behind the east stand. You may well get a ticket for overstaying your welcome in there mind but those privately issued tickets are pretty unenforceable I think.

Saw quite a few cars with parking tickets on them - to be fair some of the signage was non existent so would be appealing them if that was me.
