I can barely recall there being any/many balls into our box and the only panics were when macey didnt come for the ball when he could have

I think that's a terrible idea. A 36 year old Darren McGregor should be used in emergencies only.

Forgot Celtic have huge strikers they’re going to be firing balls into our box for. McGregor is barely required regardless, but 100% not when we will be facing quick, silky strikers and wingers. Clean sheet last night, no change required.

Don't think we looked weak defending anything. Dundee could've played another couple of hours and not scored. Not true! Dundee did score but fortunately it was for Hibs. 😂

I think we should play a flat back 5, with Newell and JDH infront forming a sort of defensive 7, our wing backs being full backs and sticking mainly to defensive duty's, when we win possession it's getting the ball into our forwards quickly and making celtic go backwards, the space is in between their centre halfs and 'full backs' so having boyle up there is key for me.
Infact stuff all that, just get into them, show them no respect, what a chance we have to do these clowns!! Time for heroes hibs!!

This is what i would go with, i think we looked a lot better when Boyle moved back to the wide position and Doidge came on when we played Dundee.

So 7 at the back with 3 upfront. That leaves 60 yards of no-mans land for the ball to cover quickly. Think that’s called hoof ball.:greengrin

I’d give Boyle a free card to move around the field as he pleases.

If a Cetc defender is booked early let Boyle constantly run at him which gives him a chance of being carded again or scared to bring him down.
Also this might stop Cetc doubling up on Boyle when he has the ball as they won’t know where he is going to be attacking from.

Starfelt, Carter-Vickers & Welsh are not very tall centre-backs, so it would be great to have a fully fit Doidge ready to terrorise them. The big man got a good run out against Dundee but might only get a start if Nisbet doesn't make it.
Celtic do look vulnerable from set-pieces, so our deliveries must improve and Porteous must focus on attacking the ball rather than falling over at the merest contact looking for a penalty.
Rogic ran us ragged last time. Do we ask Gogic of JDH to man-mark him? If that was the plan at Easter Road, it didn't go too well since Gogic was left chasing shadows and taken off at HT.
If everyone is fit, then it's probably the semi-final XI with Stevenson instead of Doig, although I'd like us to go with Doidge & Nisbet up top since we probably need to score first to have any chance.

For me Cadden is really important in games against the old firm, he’s so good at dominating that side and has an abundance of energy. Always seems to play better in the big games imo.

Doig in for Stevenson may seem harsh but for me Doig was returning to his good form and will deal with celtics pace. I know folk loved Stevenson last game and rightly so, he was excellent. But I saw some arguments being that he made some very good slide tackles and recovery tackles, for me Doig rarely needs to go to the ground and is good at disposing his opposition with his pace and staying on the feet.

4 at the back for me today with stevenson over doig as he is a better defender. I think we want 2 wide men to keep their full backs from getting forward as much as possible. Also rather have boyle wide to allow him to drop a bit deeper when needed and carry the ball for us, if he plays up top i can see us getting camped in and unable to get out.

Doidge to come on last 20 and score the winner.
