There were a group of about 10 kids in the FFL who were chanting "HIBEES" pretty much constantly for a good 10-15 minutes in the second half and I could hear them loud and clear high up in the middle of the East.

Imagine how great it would sound if there was a singing section in there! :duck:

:agree: .... They were right behind us and doing my pals heid in with it :faf: ..... But you are right mate, from the FF the singing section in the east barely made a peep, or if there was something you could barely hear it and yet folk in the east could hear ten pre teen kids in the FF lower loud and clear. Nuff said :aok:

PS .... Well done those kids, perhaps they should organise our 'ultras' group :greengrin

It's a combination of youthful enthusiasm and high pitched voices.

What the club need to do is drug and castrate some of the older supporters, to spread the effect.

We need to get Easter Road bouncing again. The lower FF behind the goal is the best option in my opinion.

To be serious this shouldn't even be a discussion any more, I overheard folk near me discussing how pathetic the 'atmosphere' was last night and who can deny it, Easter Road is like a bloody morgue just now and it has been for most of the years since the new east was built ... yes there have been big games with great atmospheres and the odd few smaller games where circumstances got the whole crowd involved.

But for 90% of the time there's more atmosphere on the Moon and it's time Hibs not only acknowledged that fact but got the finger out to try and do something about it and by that I mean actively facilitate a standing FF lower and actively promote occupation of it as well.

This is a club where 20 pissed up folk in west hospitality and 10 pre pubescent teens in the FF lower have created two of the most notable contributions to atmosphere within the last few seasons ..... If that isn't a massive clue that a vast improvement is needed you have to ask if they even bloody care.

The piercing Hibees shouts likely carried further because the kids were about an octave or two higher than the previous singing section. Therefore, we should consider issuing Block Seven with pre-match helium canisters before every game, so that visiting teams are intimidated by the fearsome Easter Road Squeak!

Don't forget the trial of the fans moving to FF lower in the ICT game 2nd half - in the video from about 3mins 30 you can see even the small group helped us score a few goals.
