Coz one of our group had a gammy leg we decided to forego our FF upper seats and grab some of the numerous empty ones in the second front row of the FF lower. About 20 minutes into the first half a female steward came over and told my pal to move her leg which was stretched over the back of the empty seat in front of her, my pal obliged. A few minutes later I saw the same steward tell a kid of about 12 years old to take his feet off of the back of the empty seat in front of him.
For more years than I care to remember folk ( including me ) have habitually used empty seats in front of them as footrests .... Is it a new policy of the club to pretend that Easter Road is a cinema or theatre .... I've seen some officious stewarding at various grounds over the years, but I don't think I've ever witnessed what I saw at ER tonight.
PS ..... Talking of the FF lower, our new singing section should feel a tad embarrassed that for most of the second half their efforts were drowned out by the constant singing of 'Hibees' Hibees by the group of about ten 6 to 8 year olds sitting behind us :faf:

In regard to your opening point, I for one hate to see folk putting their feet on the seats in front of them.
Who knows what you have on your feet and then the person who sits in that seat next time has to potentially sit with the filth of the street on their back.
It’s pretty gross to be fair!
Wish more stewards would tell folk to get their feet of the seats IMHO

Compare that to the stewarding at the away end with celtic/huns. Ridiculous. As for the singing...people should take note...the wee lads were brilliant.

See people doing it regularly, several times I have asked them to remove their feet, differing responses, but mainly I would class them as ignorant 5cum.

Bring back the old East where you stood on your seat during the game and sat down on it at half time.
