Regardless of who the next manager is I’d be assuming that David Gray will lead the team out at Hampden and any new man will start Monday.
Sir David has stepped up and given us an away point and a home win. A cup win at Hampden as manager would be a very David Gray thing to do.

If Maloney is announced tomorrow I see no reason why he won’t be in charge Sunday. I hope Gray stays as part of the coaching staff though which I’m sure he will.

I thought he did well tonight.
Changes were enforced - but he made the right ones.
Tactics were spot on.
It wasn’t vintage, but it is too much to expect for him to come in and within a week have us carrying a rapier like cutting edge in the final third with the players he had available.

Was actually thinking I would probably be happy with him as the new manager but maybe just too soon.
Definitely going to be future Hibs manager I hope and possibly even after the next new appointment leaves. Who knows.
4 points out of 6 - could easily have been 6-6.
I felt he could have made the subs slightly earlier this evening but also his hands were tied as he was waiting to see who best to take off especially after having to make a sub 1st half.

I’d like nothing more than to see SDG lead the team out on Sunday and it should happen imo, but I suspect if we appoint a new manager he’ll want the chance to have a cup win on his CV.

I'd be happy for SDG to keep it for a while. For once the subs were decent. Changing to a back 4 worked really well and it felt very comfortable in the last 10 minutes. Unlucky not to have two wins but not much difference in performance between the wins, draws and losses. The big difference is Lewis playing. We keep the ball far more often down that side and look more solid too. He should have been playing weeks ago
I’d keep him for the final then new manager starts on Monday
If it’s maloney and we don’t win the knifes will already be out. Gray essentially has a free pass

It would be ridiculous for anyone other than Gray and May to take the team on Sunday. Players probably off tomorrow and then back in on Thursday I presume, so what influence would the need team have?
They both steadied the ship and added points to our total

I agree, I’m just not sure it will happen. The article in the sun seemed to suggest the new manager would be in the dugout.

Can you imagine how much his already legendary status would be enhanced if he did stay on as boss till Sunday and Hibs won the League Cup? As a wise man once said - To infinity and beyond.
Think it’s at the stage SDG MUST lead us in the cup final.
It just makes complete sense.
