Looked like he did his hamstring, if he has he wont recover from that in a couple days. Brutal as we dont have much up front as it is.

ok his strike rate as our main striker has been acceptable to you, fair play, you have low standards of our strikers. i take it your happy with our position in the league with such low expectations of our players

thanks for telling what to do, much appreciated as i need some one to tell me what to do because I'm such a sheep. However your reply was to suggest because he has scored some goals this season he is above criticism. He has had a poor season and to deny that is to blank out poor performances and a lack of goals resulting in our league position and the sacking of yet another manager. Not that he is solely to blame far from it.
I'm happy that we have someone like you who blows smoke up a players arse when they have rough patch because we all know that's what makes the difference. please keep blowing the smoke and let the rest of us have a balanced approached to how players perform on and on-going basis. when he hits 20 goals this season i will fawn all over his achievements but just now he is contributing little and needs called out for his lack of goals

Thought he should have been taken off quicker. Groin can be a tricky one must be doubtful given the little time to the final hope not as he could easily be the match winner. Cadden looked similar injury.
I guess you dont watch the games.
Every home game this season …. Compared to last season he has been terrible. Doesn’t look interested , backs out of 50/50, hold up play hasn’t been good… he doesn’t work hard enough for me
We are all allowed opinions tho … if he scores the winner on Sunday then all will be forgiven

I think he’s been awful this season and agree with much of what you say - and I was watching him closely tonight.
There were no issues with work rate at all imo. He looks livelier whenever he has someone up there with him and clearly struggles up front on his own. I think that makes his head go down a bit and then he looks disinterested.
Nothing was coming off for him tonight and he looks short on confidence. He actually showed one or two really nice bits of movement to get in on chances which he hasn’t been doing enough - one that he took round the keeper and was unlucky not to score from during the first half and one where he got across his defender and hit it over the bar in the second.
Pure and simple - if we’re going to play any variation of a 451 then we should leave him at home. As soon as he’s got Boyle or Doidge up there with him he looks miles better.

He just tweaked something when he was closing down a clearance. Would be surprised if he's out for long.
Can do without losing him before the final tbh. Even though I think he's been mince for ages we have no other fit options up front (other than Scott, who's guff and not a striker).

Didn't he finish last season with 18 odd goals? I get he's been poor this season, but so has everyone. The level of dislike for him seems way over the top. His strike rate has been good for us since he signed, and that includes this seasons iffy spell.
In his 2 years with us he's scoring or setting up a goal 0.41 per 90. For anyone that doesn't see how decent that is, Lukaku over his career has averaged 0.49.
Anything over .3 is a good striker, .5 great and 1 is the likes of Lewa and Messi.
He's been good for us, and stats more than back that up.

His work rate was just good last night and on Saturday v St Mirren, he is working hard, he just needs a goal and we will see a run of them.
I do agree that he looks happier playing up to with someone but sometimes that just can’t always happen.
We’ve had hamstring, groin, back of calf and knee mentioned. I genuinely thought ankle as he was holding / rubbing it in the to pictures I saw. Who knows. I just hope he is fit for Sunday.

I don't get the abuse he receives He has been playing up front on his own since Doige got injured. There was some fantastic passages of play when Doige came on beside him . The second half we hoofed the ball up the park high balls to him are no use.
We must be the only supporters that give our best players pelters. I said this to the guy behind me last night as Nisbet tried to control another ball from the sky.
Give the guy a break :)

its hardly abuse to point out that the guy that gets paid to score goals has been more than a little short this season. At the moment, in his current form he is not one of our best players as he is not scoring enough goals. Can he be again, i certainly hope so because there is enough talent for him be one of the best strikers in the league, certainly enough to achieve more than Tony Watts output

Hes not had a good season but He’s not been crap all season either - his performance levels and work rate in the last 6-8 games (Livi aside) have been much more like his first season levels. Particularly as he is playing in a lone striker role …

He’s had a partner loads of the time. He just needs to do more, whether he’s on his own or with a partner. Last night is the perfect example for me, had a partner the whole night but never really much of a threat and they’re a poor side. One thing I will say is that our lack of creativity in midfield doesn’t help him.

I thought he was decent last night …didn’t get much service but closed down and his movement was good …. Almost scored , when he got across the defender a couple of times. Will be a big miss if he’s not fit .

Not sure what quality your seeing? Has he improved from being dismal for most of the season, yes, but still nowhere near the standard he needs to be at. He's not scoring or even working the keeper enough.

Scored against Motherwell and St Johnstone where he should have had a hat trick. Not saying he has been great much in line with everyone else however you just need to watch back the semi final to see the quality he has. Certainly would want him playing Sunday as he is one player that could definitely be a match winner for us.

what you thought you wrote and what came across to me was completely different, it read like you being a white knight riding to his defence. and you're right i never criticised him i pointed out that because of his lack of goals and form I don't think he will be a miss in the final. however, like everyone else if he makes it, i'll be giving him every ounce of support for it to be the day he returns to form and goals.
I've no idea what the last part of your post actually means, reminds me of when we played bulls*t bingo at work, when folk thought they were being really clever but everyone else was just laughing at them. next you'll be coming out with blue sky thinking or will you think out of the box with your reply?

Nisbet hasn't been great this season at all. I'm sure he'll be the first to admit it. But he looked better already after five minutes of having Doidge on the pitch last night.
Be such a blow if he's injured now just as Doidge is getting back. Plus wouldn't want him to miss out on a cup final.
