Arguably the easiest fixture we will have for weeks to come, 3 points are important for our league campaign and to have a bit of relief before the final.
I expect McGinn, JDH and Hanlon will come back into the side.
Griffiths, Cummings and Fontaine returning to Easter Road.
Two former Hibs captains managing against eachother, has that ever happened before?

We need to win, which we’ve been saying for weeks. They’re a poor side that concede loads of goals though.
Easiest fixture we have before the break. Get a win and try and get some confidence for the final because I think we just look absolutely shot.

Based on the fact we’ve lost to teams below us there is no easier game every game is a must win for us at this point.

To be fair, and honest there are no easy games, we lost to Ross County, we have no confidence in front of goal and struggle to defend.
We need some leadership and fight, we need some one who is willing to dig in and get wins

Very important game.
Win and gives us hope of top 6 plus gives a 9 point gap between bottom teams.
Won’t be easy but we need a win for the league table points tally plus give us some confidence going into Sunday.
Hopefully a good crowd.

Really need to start avoiding losing dreadful goals and be more clinical. Want to see a dominant performance with players fighting for a final place. Dundees defence and goalie imo are poor but reasonable going forward.

Why pay £15 when you can make the trek to ER and pay £26!
And they wonder why there are so many emply seats.

Griffiths and Cummings haven’t started for Dundee in recent games and I doubt if McPake would gamble on starting them on the assumption that their inclusion would somehow cause panic in the Hibs ranks. If they’re not good enough to start in most games, they’re not good enough to start against us. It’ll be interesting to see if he does gamble on them.

They’ve got some decent players Dundee..should be a good game . I like the guy Mullen upfront , is it Max Anderson in midfield ? Their left back was rumoured to be a target for us if Doig had left and the very annoying , but decent t player McGowan keeps on scoring against us

Going into this game without a manager is a failure of the board.
Had expected the new man announced yesterday at the latest.
It is beginning to look like the board think we'll have finals every 5 months.
In truth, you only win if you think it could be your last, and make the effort superhuman.
The board aren't giving a good impression imo

Can’t remember us ever appointing a manager within a few days of emptying the previous one, but can’t recall it getting called out as much as this time round.

Nail on the head.
The board should have made a kneejerk decision based on fans polls and not thought about the long term stability of the club.
Pat Fenlon would have been an ideal candidate or bringing back Colin Calderwood from the cold.

You cant overstate the importance of this game. Lose it and we will have to admit that a relegation battle could be a real possibility because our next 6 league fixtures are:
Aberdeen (H)
Dundee United (A)
Celtic (A)
Hearts (H)
Motherwell (A)
Livingston (H)
If we can't beat Dundee, with the possible exception of Livinston at home exactly how many points are we likely to pick up from a list of fixtures like that, considering Aberdeen have a good record at ER, Dundee Utd creamed us the last time we played them, Celtic away is Celtic away, Hearts are playing better than we are and are exactly the sort of team we have a bother with and Motherwell are pretty steady form wise?

McInnes had a decent record at ER. Glass hasn't even played at ER. United lost the last 3. Hearts 3 wins in 10. Motherwell 3 wins in 10.

The issue with St Mirren game was that we totally sat back after scoring and let them come onto us. Need to get back to proper attacking football which is difficult given Ross’s legacy of sideway and backward passing. I predict 1-1 with Liam Fontaine scoring near the end.
Hope I’m wrong

You can have both we should just surrender the points and not have injuries. Strange to have that trade off. There’s a decent chance we’re getting skelped on Sunday. Gimme the three points and a free hit at the weekend please. Injuries or not. Luckily injury free and a point isn’t an option

Ex Hibs players out to show they are still good enough to score against us...seen it before: Brian Hamilton against us just after joining Hearts.
