Whats that, 7 red cards this season? Manager had lost his influence over the team and needs to go. Now.

If porteous and Cadden are out injured who even lines up in defence on Saturday? Gogic and McGregor with Stevenson in at right back?
What a mess we’ve got ourselves into

Very disappointing.
Two experienced professionals committing silly fouls when they'd already been booked. McGinn and Hanlon didn't just hurt us in this game by killing off the remote change of stealing a draw, but also in the next game against St Mirren.

That was one of my biggest takeaways from tonight’s game. Total lack of discipline, especially from your captain and vice captain.

If any of the young lads that play in defence don’t get in the squad on Saturday it’s pointless them being at the club

It’s reflective of our current predicament, as results spiral eventually so does discipline. Seen it before over the years as the dressing room collapses, usually ends up with the manager eventually being removed.

Ironic when you consider we have a squad full of weak minded, uninterested losers who have rarely shown any desire, passion or commitment since September!
The sendings off can be attributed just as much to a lack of individual ability as they can to any lack of discipline. Sadly we have too many substandard players holding down starting positions because there's no depth or competition within the squad.

We don’t have any, Brydon and Fairley out on loan

Paul Hanlon needs to take some of the responsibility as captain. That was embarrassing from him. Sentiment only goes so far.

Maybe his 1st sending off ever…

Not helped by that thug Martindale running from the dugout screaming for a card for Paul.

Hanlon started badly then got progressively worse. His head was away. When you’re on a booking and the boy is running away just let him go FFS.

Second I think.
He was sent off in 2010 up at Inverness for a handball on the line.

Very worrying, 2nd time in 3 weeks we’ve gone down to 9 men.

It's not normal, we seem totally capricious. Indicative of something very concerning.

We didn’t really go down to 9 against Ross County. Boyle was sent off after the full time whistle
But yeah, still an issue with discipline

That was probably his worst game for Hibs. I wish I knew why he was so poor when you think of how well he played in the semi. That level of inconsistency is just nowhere near good enough.

They seem very tired. Could it be a deadly mix of COVID and complacency at not having competition?

Splitting hairs imo.
The sendings off against county were indicative of a team fighting hard and coming up short but tonight..tonight felt like giving up.

The McGinn sending off was utterly needless as he should let that ball just drop over his head and try and collect it and either pass it back to his goalkeeper or turn out and hoof it the way he was facing...however I was sat near the front almost in line with him, and there was zero communication from behind him, no shout from the Centre Half, nor the goalkeeper, who I'm sorry, but the laddie Macey doesn't inspire confidence either, but that's what happens when you sign a rookie for buttons in a key position.
The mindset of the club in how they do their transfer business hasn't changed from the old regime, and there's only so much of a stink you can put on the guy Mathie, who i think should have been emptied after the January window, before we even analyse the summer debacle on the eve of a European campaign.
We still seem to take an absolute eternity to source and sign players; that's after we make a fanfare about players BEFORE we've even signed them, such as the McCrorie deal, where it's patently obvious other competitor clubs have offered more money, and the last-minute signings of Scott and Wood had the whiff of desperation about them which was straight out of the Petrie playbook of cheap jersey-fillers just to appease the fans.
This is Gordon and Kensell's first big test, I would give Ross his P45 tonight, I wouldn't trust him in the January window not to sign any other than identikit midfield players, half of whom will probably go straight onto the treatment table; the whole playing side of the club needs a fresh pair of eyes on it, and the Board need to realise that fans respond to decent players in Hibs strips that can play a wee bit and that we can identify with.
I'd also ease up on the constant stream of emails and adverts for crypto coins and other guff that seems to pass for "communication" from the club these days and instead get the heid down in trying to put a decent team on the park.

Sean Mackie in for McGinn, Stevenson and McGregor at CB with Doig at the back with Gogic sitting in front?

Back 3 of Lewis, Daz and Gogic with Doig and Boyle wingbacks. Assuming Porto is out.

Captain and vice captain sent of is highly worrying. We are going to get embarrassed in Paisley. If Porteous and Cadden are out too makes it worse. Pathetic.
